The Wisconsin Arts & Craft Fairs
Directory is a comprehensive listing of
art and craft fairs held throughout the
state. The Wisconsin Arts Board has
published this directory annually since
1976, as a governmental service to
artists, arts organizations and the
general public.
The directory, available free of charge,
lists fairs chronologically and contains
indexes by city and county. Each event
listing provides both general
information for the public, and specific
requirements for potential art and craft
exhibitors.
The events listed within this directory
are also posted on the Wisconsin Arts
Board website at

“Over the last few years I have produced a body of
mixed -media drawings. My research involves the American
historical experience of the late 19th and early
20th centuries. I am actively researching narratives
from the primary period of the American westward expansion
into the Great Plains, and capped in the period
defined by Franklin Roosevelt and the New Deal.
Congruently, I am interested in the formal and material
reality of the images that I produce, and the ability of a
controlled pictorial strategy, defined through material
choices, to dictate emotional and intellectual engagement
and response.”

General Information
Advertising a Fair
All art and crafts fairs held in the State of Wisconsin
and open to the general public are eligible
for inclusion in this directory. In order to be
included in the directory, sponsors must submit
both an application and a listing fee to the
Wisconsin Arts Board. (Listing fees currently
range from $25 to $250 and are calculated according
to a formula provided on our website at
wwww.artsboard.wisconsin.gov)
Applications may be submitted online in the
months of September and October. To be notified
when the application is available, contact
the Wisconsin Arts Board and have your email
address added to the mailing list.
The Wisconsin Art & Craft Fairs Directory is not
a juried list, nor does it represent an Arts Board
approved list. Information included is obtained
directly from fair sponsors.
Key to Directory Codes/Terms
Most of the terms used in this directory are selfexplanatory;
a few, however, require some elaboration.
Others yet, have been assigned
numbers to conserve space within the listing.
We hope the following definitions provide all the
details you need.
Eligibility definitions for exhibitors:
Open: No restrictions on entry
Restricted: Limited to who may participate
(e.g., senior citizens, Dane
County artists, Wisconsin residents
only, etc.).
Closed: Entry process is closed to the
general public (e.g., members
only).
Juried: Participation is determined by a
review panel. A jury fee may be
required (e.g., Juried – $5). In
most cases, this is non-refundable;
call to verify.
Slides, Images of artwork and/or the
Photos, or display may be required for panel
Digital review. 3/1 slides, for example,
Images: indicates 3 slides of your artwork,
plus 1 slide of your
setup/display are requested for
you review.
