OLD BRUTONIAN INSIGNIA
The Committee is currently reviewing the various items of insignia and it is hoped that several new items will be
available in 2006. Currently the only items in stock are ties and these can be obtained from Pinder & Tuckwell of Exeter.
The cost of Old Brutonian items is as follows:

The Committee is investigating the provision of several new items of insignia, these include: cufflinks, golf
umbrellas, rugby shirts, scarves, pens and polo shirts.
The Committee would be very grateful to hear from any Old Brutonians who have suggestions as to items of
insignia they would like to see made available. These should be emailed to: obainsignia@r.eclipse.co.uk.
Alternatively, suggestions can be sent by post to the OBA office.

King’s School Bruton Remembered, ed. Basil Wright £10
Contributors to this 390 page illustrated history of King’s, published in 1990, paint a vivid picture of the School,
concentrating on the last 100 years.
Four Hundred Years A School, by Geoffrey Sale £5
Written by the then Headmaster in 1950, this gives intriguing detail about the establishment of the School and
its uncertain progress through to the mid twentieth century.
All proceeds from the sale of the above two books go to the recently established Basil Wright Trust, which
intends to provide the School with a much needed bursary fund.
Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, by Henry Hobhouse £4
A concise résumé, by the recently retired Senior Warden, of the lives and work of 39 of the most influential
scientists of the past 1000 years, commemorated in the Millennium Circle at King’s.
