I have travelled around the world, but<br />
there is no destination that beats my<br />
<strong>Åland</strong>. On the other hand, I am biased,<br />
since I am an <strong>Åland</strong>er born and bread.<br />
But I would still think that the <strong>Åland</strong> archipelago<br />
is the most beautiful place<br />
in the world even if I hadn’t been born<br />
here.<br />
If I could, I would show you all of my favourite<br />
places, each and every little islet and<br />
introduce you to all my summer neighbours.<br />
Since that is not really possible, this brochure<br />
will have to serve as a sort of display window,<br />
where we show you a selection of what <strong>Åland</strong> has<br />
to offer. Many of these favourites are located out<br />
on <strong>Åland</strong>’s smaller islands. That is why my very first<br />
re<strong>com</strong>mendation is to head out into the archipelago.It<br />
is easy and doesn’t cost much and there are<br />
loads of islands to investigate - 6500 islands and<br />
islets in all.<br />
