NJSBA Mission Statement
The New Jersey School Boards Association, a federation of boards of education,
provides training, advocacy and support to advance public education and promote the
achievement of all students through effective governance.
Statement of Core Values
The New Jersey School Boards Association values its members and their service to
their communities and to our state’s public school students.
NJSBA believes its members perform a critical and irreplaceable role in the education
of New Jersey’s children.
NJSBA trains, advocates for, and unites local boards of education. It provides the tools
that enable local school boards to function effectively, ethically and efficiently.
NJSBA is the only state-level education advocacy organization that does not consist of
school employees. The Association’s unique status enables it to advocate education
and labor-management reforms unbridled by special interests.
NJSBA is committed to serving as local school board members’ primary resource for
information, training and direct assistance, designed to advance student achievement
through effective governance.
