planning to celebrate with banquets throughout the state
for alumni and industry supporters. The purpose of these
gatherings is to promote the School and its initiatives,
to raise additional funds for a new endowed
professorship and to celebrate the accomplishments of
our alumni in a social setting that we can all enjoy. The
Tampa Bay banquet is the first of the eight regional
celebrations and will be held in Tampa at the Grand
Hyatt Tampa Bay on September 21 st . The Tampa Bay
club plans to set the benchmark high for others to follow.
The sad news this past May was the passing of Chuck
Perry, a BCN Construction Hall of Fame inductee and
a dear friend and supporter of the school. I would like
to send my deepest sympathy to his wife Nancy and
other famliy members.
Once again, I would like to thank our generous alumni
and benefactors for providing us the funding to properly
furnish Rinker Hall. Your support is essential for us to
maintain the high quality of our program.
The M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction is honored to have an active
Advisory Council whose members, both individual and corporate, serve as an important
source of advice and support for the School. The Advisory Council is an opportunity
for you and your company to form a strong liaison with the School. In this way, we can
be assured that our program is current and meets the ever-changing needs of the
construction industry. We hope you will consider becoming a member of the Advisory
Council for the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction.
