6011. IMPACT AREAS. Detailed descriptions of the R206, R207, R300, R800,<br />
Zulu, Whiskey, Quebec, Edson Range, R409A and X-Ray Impact Areas are provided<br />
in Appendix B of this Order.<br />
6012. LEASED AREAS<br />
1. Long-Term Lease Areas. Most of the long-term lease areas are available<br />
for military training. The long-term lease areas supporting agriculture<br />
should be avoided during periods of pesticide/herbicide application for<br />
health and safety reasons. The only portion of leased land not available for<br />
training is the southeastern portion of the agricultural area at the northern<br />
end of the <strong>Base</strong>. The dirt road around the perimeter of the agricultural area<br />
may be used for motorized or foot marches as long as the vehicle speed limit<br />
does not exceed 10 MPH. The purpose of this speed limit is to prevent dust<br />
clouds, which may cause damage to crops. This road is off-limits to tracked<br />
vehicles. Requests for use of this area shall be made in writing to the<br />
AC/S, O&T at least thirty (30) days in advance of the desired date (copy to<br />
AC/S, ES) in order to coordinate with the tenant.<br />
2. San Onofre State Beach Lease Area. San Onofre State Beach is a long-term<br />
lease area. It is available for military training and its use is encouraged.<br />
Requests for the use of San Onofre State Beach shall be made in writing to<br />
the AC/S, O&T [ROD (Range Scheduling Office)] at least thirty (30) days in<br />
advance.<br />
6013. BEACHES. Beach areas are from the low water mark up to the nearest<br />
right of way (adjacent to the I-5 Freeway and railroad). <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Pendleton</strong><br />
