c. Bivouac/command and post/field support activities (e.g., showers,<br />

messing, fueling, water purification, etc.) shall be kept at least fifty (50)<br />

meters from identified archaeological sites.<br />

d. When conducting operations, if archaeological materials are<br />

discovered on the ground or below soil surfaces, the following measures<br />

should be taken.<br />

(1) Avoid disturbing any archaeological materials.<br />

(2) Notify the AC/S, ES as soon as possible (with the exact grid<br />

coordinates, if possible, and site description).<br />

(3) Do not remove materials from the area.<br />

e. If human <strong>bo</strong>ne material (to include fragments) is discovered during<br />

any operation, the area must immediately be evacuated, leaving the remains<br />

intact. Notify LONGRIFLE as soon as possible.<br />

12. Endangered Species Summary. Figure 2-1 provides a summary of endangered<br />

species/protected habitat locations.<br />
