1009. MEDICAL EVACUATION (MEDEVAC) PROCEDURES<br />
1. General<br />
a. LONGRIFLE is the coordinator for all MEDEVACs. LONGRIFLE must be<br />
notified of all accidents or medical emergencies occurring at <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Pendleton</strong><br />
ranges and training facilities. It is critical in order to ensure a timely<br />
response to training accidents, that the incident details, victim’s injuries,<br />
vital signs, and assets necessary to best address victim injuries are clearly<br />
relayed to LONGRIFLE. The following information pertains to MEDEVAC<br />
responses.<br />
(1) The <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Pendleton</strong> Naval Hospital is not trauma-capable.<br />
(2) The <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>Pendleton</strong> (<strong>Base</strong>) Fire Department must be on-scene for<br />
the arrival of any civilian air ambulance to ensure the victim(s) is prepared<br />
