3. Civilians<br />
a. Civilians in unit-sponsored functions which include participation or<br />
observation, may be requested no less than thirty (30) days prior to the<br />
event, through the Commanding Officer, MCB, CamPen (Attention: AC/S, O&T).<br />
b. DOD Employees or Government Contractors operating within the scope of<br />
their employment or contract are not subject to this provision.<br />
4. Physical Training. Individual Unit PT and or recreational activities in<br />
training areas shall be scheduled via the Range Scheduling Office. This<br />
includes individual PT.<br />
5. Alcohol. Alcohol is not allowed on ranges or in training areas unless a<br />
waiver has been granted by the Commanding Officer, MCB, CamPen.<br />
1006. WAIVERS TO REGULATIONS. Requests for waivers to the provisions<br />
contained in this Order will be addressed to the Commanding Officer, MCB,<br />
CamPen (Attention: AC/S, O&T) no less than thirty (30) days prior to the<br />
planned event. It is recommended that waiver requests be coordinated with<br />
the RCO prior to submission. Refer to figure 1-3 for waiver, brief, SDZ<br />
diagram, and airspace requirements.<br />
1007. ACCIDENT REPORTING. When a training accident occurs on a range or in<br />
a training area, a report will immediately be made to LONGRIFLE by radio or<br />
telephone. In addition, the unit commander will immediately notify the<br />
appropriate chain of command. When ordnance material is involved, the<br />
accident will also be reported to the <strong>Base</strong> Explosive Safety Officer and an<br />
ordinance malfunction report shall be filed, if required.<br />
1008. AIRCRAFT ACCIDENTS<br />
1. Procedures<br />
a. Notify LONGRIFLE in the event of any aircraft accident on <strong>Camp</strong><br />
<strong>Pendleton</strong> ranges or training facilities.<br />
b. The following information shall be reported, if available.<br />
(1) Location<br />
(2) Type of aircraft<br />
(3) Personnel involved<br />
(4) Aircraft armament<br />
(5) Name, grade, organization, and present location of the caller<br />
c. If the crash occurs in an impact area, LONGRIFLE will ensure live<br />
firing in that area has ceased and an EOD Technician or individual designated<br />
by the RCO is present before authorizing entry into the impact area.<br />
d. Firing shall not resume until the rescue has been completed and all<br />
personnel and equipment have been accounted for.<br />
