Drop Zone (DZ)<br />
A tactical landing zone in which personnel or cargo<br />
paradrops are authorized.<br />
Dud<br />
Ammunition of any caliber or weight that has been fired,<br />
placed, dropped, thrown or launched, but which fails to<br />
function as designed.<br />
FCLP<br />

Facilities<br />
Those areas designated for a specific type of training,<br />
normally not requiring the use of live ordnance (e.g.,<br />

Formal School<br />
A school or a single course conducted by a school, which<br />
produces, as a result of its Program of Instruction (POI),<br />
a <strong>Marine</strong> qualified in a Military Occupational Specialty<br />
(MOS). This definition includes Weapons and Field Training<br />
Battalion (WFTBN), the Range Coach and Marksmanship<br />
Instructor, and Martial Arts Instructor/Trainer Courses<br />
conducted by 1 st <strong>Marine</strong> Division.<br />
