2442. On 29 December 2010, the Trial Chamber partially granted a Stanišić Defence motion<br />

and adjourned for two weeks, in order to give the Defence time to assess the Mladić<br />

notebooks and related materials. 5209<br />

2443. On 16 February 2011, the Trial Chamber issued a scheduling order, which it later<br />

adjusted on 1 April 2011, extending the commencement date of the Defence case from the<br />

earlier anticipated mid-<strong>May</strong> 2011, to 15 June 2011. 5210 On 22 August 2011, the Trial Chamber<br />

partially granted a Stanišić Defence motion of 22 August 2011, requesting the suspension of<br />

trial proceedings after the summer recess in order to prepare for its defence, and decided not<br />

to sit for four weeks, beginning on 5 September 2011. 5211 On 11 January 2012, the Trial<br />

Chamber announced that due to the unavailability of witnesses, the hearings in the case would<br />

recommence no earlier than 17 January 2012. 5212 On 28 February 2012, the Trial Chamber<br />

orally decided not to sit in the month of April 2012 in order to give the Simatović Defence<br />

further opportunity to prepare for its witnesses. 5213<br />

2444. Close of Defence case, rebuttal, and rejoinder. On 17 September 2012, the Trial<br />

Chamber decided that for the purposes of Rule 85 (ii) of the Rules, the Defence cases were<br />

closed. 5214 On 20 September 2012, the Trial Chamber denied a Prosecution motion requesting<br />

the admission of certain rebuttal evidence. 5215 On 31 October and 5 November 2012, the Trial<br />

Chamber admitted other documentary material as Prosecution rebuttal evidence. 5216 On the<br />

latter date the Trial Chamber also decided that for the purposes of Rule 85 (iii) of the Rules,<br />
