he saw them salute him in Bajina Bašta, Serbia. 3211 The witness heard Simatović give orders<br />

to those units. 3212 On occasion in Bajina Bašta, a local man nicknamed ‘Max’ who belonged<br />

to the Drina Wolves gave instructions to the witness’s unit. 3213 Max and his assistant Neđo<br />

told the witness that Simatović was their superior, and the witness saw Max salute Simatović<br />

and receiving orders from him. 3214 Max and Neđo also told the witness that their group was<br />

previously called “Knindže”. 3215 Two other men belonging to this unit were Rajo Božović<br />

who the witness repeatedly saw in Bajina Bašta and a man called Njegoš who was in charge<br />

of the unit that was stationed in a hotel at Mount Tara. 3216 The Drina Wolves were composed<br />

of Serbian policemen and locals from the area of Bajina Bašta and Skelani. 3217 The Drina<br />

Wolves wore blue camouflage uniforms. Some members also wore black and others green<br />

camouflage uniforms. 3218 In addition to the hotel where the members of the various units were<br />

accommodated, there was a house in the centre of Bajina Bašta, which functioned as a<br />

command centre. 3219 In this command centre, where the witness went several times, he<br />

encountered Frenki’s secretary who had an office space there. The witness referred to the<br />

command centre as a large office with maps and communication devices. 3220<br />

16<strong>30</strong>. On 10 December 1993, Dragutin Stanojević, in a handwritten auto-biography, stated<br />

that after February he and twenty comrades went to the Tara camp for a special training. 3221<br />

According to a background check on Dragutin Stanojević, reported by Dragan Kijac, Head of<br />

the Bosnian-Serb Republic MUP DB on 8 March 1994, Stanojević had joined a formation<br />

called the Drinski Vukovi, or Wolves from Drina, after the war broke out in Bratunac. 3222<br />

According to the report, Stanojević had been in a special purposes unit of the MUP of the<br />

Bosnian Serb Republic from 21 February to 26 July 1993 and fought alongside the VRS. 3223<br />
