<strong>Ringfeder</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Procedure<br />

•Clean excess dirt and debris from<br />

exterior of coupling<br />

• Ensure coupling is closed<br />

•Using 17mm spanner – loosen nut/bolt<br />

at rear of end cap<br />

•Remove retaining bolt at front of end<br />

cap using 13mm spanner<br />

•Apply pressure to end cap to remove<br />

bolt from end cap.

•Remove locking springs<br />

•Replace with 2x 90mm garden hose<br />

(12mm ID). This will prevent the spring<br />

arms from jamming during maintenance


<strong>Ringfeder</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Procedure<br />

•Operate handle to lift coupling bolt<br />

•Remove coupling bolt, clean and check<br />

for excessive wear. Replace if wear limit<br />

exceeded (recommend replacement of<br />

top and bottom bush at same time)<br />

•Clean excess grease and debris from<br />

coupling bore and lifting finger<br />

•Check for excessive wear. Replace<br />

worn parts as required.<br />

•Check, clean and lubricate manual<br />

safety device with light weight oil<br />

(CRC/WD40 or equivalent)<br />

•Ensure safety device has correct and<br />

full range of motion (Star handle returns<br />

to fully retracted position)<br />

•Replace if function is impeded

•Check, clean and ensure wear pad is<br />

within wear limits.<br />

•Replace if wear pad exceeds limits


<strong>Ringfeder</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Procedure<br />

•Use light weight spray type oil<br />

(CRC/WD40 or equivalent)<br />

•Recommend minimum once per 30<br />

days<br />

•Lubricate as conditions require<br />

•Ensure full and free range of motion of<br />

coupling mouth

detailed instructions and service requirements.
