Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Clean excess dirt and debris from
exterior of coupling
• Ensure coupling is closed
•Using 17mm spanner – loosen nut/bolt
at rear of end cap
•Remove retaining bolt at front of end
cap using 13mm spanner
•Apply pressure to end cap to remove
bolt from end cap.
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Remove locking springs
•Replace with 2x 90mm garden hose
(12mm ID). This will prevent the spring
arms from jamming during maintenance
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Operate handle to lift coupling bolt
•Remove coupling bolt, clean and check
for excessive wear. Replace if wear limit
exceeded (recommend replacement of
top and bottom bush at same time)
•Clean excess grease and debris from
coupling bore and lifting finger
•Check for excessive wear. Replace
worn parts as required.
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Check, clean and lubricate manual
safety device with light weight oil
(CRC/WD40 or equivalent)
•Ensure safety device has correct and
full range of motion (Star handle returns
to fully retracted position)
•Replace if function is impeded
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Check, clean and ensure wear pad is
within wear limits.
•Replace if wear pad exceeds limits
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Use light weight spray type oil
(CRC/WD40 or equivalent)
•Recommend minimum once per 30
days
•Lubricate as conditions require
•Ensure full and free range of motion of
coupling mouth
Ringfeder Maintenance Procedure
•Refer to instruction manual with all couplings for
detailed instructions and service requirements.
