If an employee changes status from benefited to per diem, all accrued unpaid PTO will be<br />

paid out on the effective date <strong>of</strong> the status change. The employee’s ESL account will be<br />

frozen and reinstated if the employee subsequently changes back to benefited status.<br />

N. Payment <strong>of</strong> PTO on Termination.<br />

Eligible employees will be paid their accrued, unused PTO through the last day worked at<br />

their current rate <strong>of</strong> pay, including shift differential.<br />

The Employer will recognize the following holidays<br />

1. New Year’s Day<br />

2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day<br />

3. President’s Day<br />

4. Memorial Day<br />

5. Independence Day<br />

6. Labor Day<br />

7. Thanksgiving Day<br />

8. Christmas Day<br />

An employee who works a holiday will be paid time and one-half (1 1/2) the<br />

straight-time hourly rate plus shift differential, when applicable.<br />

O. PTO Cash-out.<br />

Employees may cash-out PTO two times during the calendar year, under the following<br />

guidelines:<br />

1. The employee’s PTO account may not be reduced below eighty (80) hours<br />

after the cash-out.<br />

2. The Employer will cash out during the first pay period <strong>of</strong> July and<br />

December any PTO elected by the employee for cash out that has not been used.<br />

3. Employees may elect PTO cash-out per calendar year as follows:<br />

a. Employees between the first (1st) and fourth (4th) year(s) <strong>of</strong><br />

employment -- forty (40) hours.<br />

b. Employees between their fifth (5th) and ninth (9th) years <strong>of</strong><br />

employment - eighty (80) hours.<br />

c. Employees with ten (10) or more years <strong>of</strong> employment - one<br />

hundred twenty (120) hours.<br />
