individual position description, for covered employees, which have not previously<br />

been provided to the Union. These shall be mailed and made available to the<br />

requesting party within five (5) calendar days <strong>of</strong> any such request.<br />

F. Uniforms<br />

At Seton, Saint Louise and O’Connor Only:<br />

When employees are required to wear uniforms <strong>of</strong> special types <strong>of</strong> work clothing while in<br />

the employ <strong>of</strong> the Employers, the cost <strong>of</strong> laundering and furnishing same shall be borne<br />

by the Employers; provided, however, that the Employers shall not be required to furnish<br />

apparel traditionally worn by such employees in healthcare generally. The term<br />

“uniform” includes wearing apparel and accessories <strong>of</strong> distinctive design or color.<br />

Employees shall have meaningful input into all decisions regarding all aspects <strong>of</strong><br />

uniforms or special types <strong>of</strong> work clothing.<br />

At St. Francis Only:<br />

The Employer will comply with existing state law and current past practice.<br />

G. Training<br />

Training is strictly voluntary for non-lead employees. Orientation is not considered<br />

training.<br />

Training is teaching in order to prepare a novice and/or new employee with the required<br />

skill to meet the requirements <strong>of</strong> the position; or, to instruct so as to make pr<strong>of</strong>icient.<br />

An employee other than those designated as “leads” who is assigned by management to<br />

train other employees shall receive a differential <strong>of</strong> $1.50 per hour ($1.00 per hour at St.<br />

Francis) over his or her base wage rate for time doing such training.<br />

H. Evaluations<br />

At Seton, Saint Louise and O’Connor Only:<br />

The employee shall be given a copy <strong>of</strong> any periodic written formal performance<br />

evaluation. Performance evaluations shall not be subject to the grievance procedure<br />

unless it contributes to disciplinary action.<br />

At St. Francis Only:<br />

Performance evaluations shall be prepared at least annually for all bargaining unit<br />

employees. Employees, upon request, shall be given copies <strong>of</strong> their evaluation. A space<br />

will be provided on the evaluation form for employees to comment on the evaluation<br />

received. Employee evaluations will not be considered part <strong>of</strong> the disciplinary process.<br />

Employee evaluations may be grieved, but will not be subject to arbitration pursuant to<br />

Article 30 <strong>of</strong> this Agreement.<br />
