Below is an E-4-UL Coors Golden Beer / Sold By
Johnson-Pearce Co. Bill McKienzie looked a long
time for a ―Round Head‖ E-4 Coors and I never
knew if he found one, but this one sold on eBay in
January for $20.50 and I was the very happy
buyer. A little research on the internet found that
Johnson-Pearce was a 1930’s Arizona Coors distributor.
In 1911 the company started as a Produce,
Poultry and Egg business. With the repeal
of Prohibition in 1933, they won the Coors Distributorship
and are still in business today.
Joe Young found the above folding cork puller and bottle
opener. He cannot find any patent information. Do any of
our readers have any history on this piece? Nothing very
complicated and I am sure it was not easy to remove a
cork with this tool. Maybe a proto-type?
