Resolution No. 20-2011 designating real property owned by West 50 Plaza LLC located
at the South end of Helen Hauser Boulevard, as a Florida Brownfield area for the purpose
of rehabilitation, economic redevelopment, and environmental remediation and directing
the City Manager to notify the Department of Environmental Protection of said
designation.
City Manager Ryan clarified this property was being looked at as a potential for
contamination from the I-95 construction and being located next to the wastewater
treatment facility.
Mayor Tulley opened the public hearing.
Robert Kirk was available for questions and advised he believed this property had the
potential for contamination.
Member Tulley closed the public hearing.
Motion:
Vice-Mayor Johnson moved to approve Resolution No. 20-2011 as recommended.
Member Pritchett seconded the motion.

Partnership located at northwest corner of SR 405 and US Highway 1, as a Florida
Brownfield Area for the purpose of rehabilitation, economic redevelopment, and
environmental remediation; directing the City Manager to notify the Department of
Environmental Protection of said designation.
Mayor Tulley opened the public hearing.
Robert Kirk advised this property had 3000’ of railroad frontage and had the potential of
contamination from the use of arsenic for weed control along the right-of-way.
Mayor Tulley closed the public hearing.
