Met deadlines for producing <strong>and</strong> distributing semi-annual issues of the printed<br />

Connection activities catalog. The Registration staff coordinated the “sister” project<br />

to the print catalog <strong>and</strong> directly posted <strong>and</strong> proofed thous<strong>and</strong>s of classes to the<br />

website. Staff manually cross-proofed the print version of the catalogs with the<br />

website version.<br />

Met with staff to develop <strong>and</strong> implement marketing plans for Colorado Journey <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>South</strong> <strong>Suburban</strong> Ice Arena.<br />

Participated with the Golf Marketing Committee to help coordinate marketing efforts<br />

<strong>and</strong> track results.<br />

Met with Ice Arena Manager Bill Dobbs to prepare a marketing plan for Family<br />

Sports Center.<br />

Met with the <strong>Recreation</strong> Center Marketing Committee with a focus on customer<br />

retention <strong>and</strong> attaining new customers.<br />

Helped various programs with promotional efforts; offered suggestions for reaching<br />

target markets <strong>and</strong> prepared collateral materials.<br />

Conducted the Secret Shopper program to focus attention on rating District facilities<br />

for cleanliness, service <strong>and</strong> salesmanship.<br />

Shortened the time for processing scholarship applications <strong>and</strong> implemented a<br />

tracking system.<br />

Coordinated the Sheridan Renovation Celebration of facility improvements <strong>and</strong> new<br />

wall murals.<br />

Worked with Littleton Public Schools to coordinate <strong>and</strong> publicize a Walk-to-School<br />

Day at 9 schools, <strong>and</strong> a trail dedication event at Peabody Elementary.<br />

Helped with volunteer recruitment <strong>and</strong> promotion of the 200 Trees events <strong>and</strong><br />

dedication of the east-side trail.<br />

Assisted <strong>Parks</strong> staff with the dedication of the new <strong>South</strong> <strong>Suburban</strong> Service Center.<br />

Coordinated a <strong>South</strong> <strong>Suburban</strong> presence at the <strong>South</strong> Metro Denver Chamber<br />

Business Expo, Arapahoe Community College’s Chalk it Up event, Centennial Under<br />

the Stars, Western Welcome Week Family Fireworks & BBQ , Carousel of Music,<br />

etc.<br />

Supported the efforts of the Public Art Committee, in coordination with <strong>South</strong><br />

<strong>Suburban</strong> staff members Melissa Reese-Thacker <strong>and</strong> Vickie Willis, to launch a new<br />

Art on Loan Program with three sculptures installed outside Goodson.<br />

Served as a Learning Journey presenter for a seminar on Emergency <strong>and</strong> Crisis<br />

Preparedness.<br />

Stayed current with trends <strong>and</strong> issues in the world of communication <strong>and</strong> marketing.<br />

Staff attended a number of free or low cost webinars <strong>and</strong> Meet-Ups related to topics<br />

such as the “How To’s” of social media. Information was shared amongst the<br />

Communications staff, as well as with interested staff from other departments. Teresa<br />

will attend the LERN conference in December <strong>and</strong> share what is learned.<br />
