lIar<strong>in</strong>pliet, closure has led ko a th<strong>in</strong> layer of silt be<strong>in</strong>g deposited<br />

over this area.<br />

From 1987 onwards, a new sedimenracion area is develop<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Lake Zo&<br />

(Region In). The sedimentarion <strong>in</strong> this region is essentially similar<br />

to that found <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Har<strong>in</strong>gqliet area and will ma<strong>in</strong>ly cunsist of silt.<br />

Pbally, comparisons can be made with <strong>the</strong> sedhentntion area <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Western Scheldt (Region IVI. In this region most of <strong>the</strong> silt carried by<br />
