BETA BLOCKING AGENTS<br />
All plain beta blocking agents are classfied in this group.<br />
Combination packages containing two different products (e.g. sotalol tablets and<br />
aspirin tablets in a combination package) are also classfied in this group.<br />
Labetalol, and carvedilol are classified in QC07AG - Alpha- and beta blocking<br />
agents.<br />

Beta blocking agents, non-selective<br />
Non-selective beta blocking agents, e.g. carazolol, are classified in this group.<br />
Combined packages containing sotalol tablets and aspirin tablets are classified in<br />
QC07AA57.<br />
QC07AB<br />
Beta blocking agents, selective<br />
Selective beta blocking agents are classified in this group. The S-enantiomer and<br />
the racemate of atenolol are assigned separate 5th level codes. Preparations<br />
containing beta blocking agents should be classified according to their main<br />
indication, e.g. clenbuterol, see QR03AC14 or QR03CC13.<br />
