Throat preparations and mouth preparations are classified in the groups QR02 and<br />

A01 according to assumed main therapeutic use. Preparations used in common<br />

minor infections of mouth and throat are classified in QR02, while preparations<br />

used in gingivitis, stomatitis etc. are classified in QA01 - Stomatological<br />

preparations.<br />

Expectorants administered as tablets are classified in QR05 - Cough and cold<br />

preparations.<br />

This group comprises e.g. throat lozenges containing local anesthetics. Dental<br />

anesthetics for local application are classified in QN01B - Anesthetics, local.<br />

Combinations of anesthetics and antiseptics/antibiotics are classified in<br />

QR02AA/QR02AB respectively.<br />
