On 16 th October 2007, Mahidol University became a
public autonomous University and was entrusted with
a greater level of autonomy with respect to its administration
and management. In 2011, Mahidol University
introduced its new administrative team (2011-2015) led by
President Professor Rajata Rajatanavin, M.D. Building on a tradition
of excellence, the administration unveiled the university’s
latest four-year plan which includes the following main
strategies and focus:
• Mobilizing Mahidol University’s efforts to provide guidance
and drive public policies toward the improvement of the
society;
• Advancing the quality of research toward a world-class
level that is also relevant to overcoming the challenges
facing Thai society;
• Using transformative education to support excellence in
teaching and learning;
• Making internationalization a fundamental component in
all activities, ranging from human resource development to
teaching, learning and research;
• Taking the opportunity of being a public autonomous
university with a greater flexibility in personnel and financial
management to create rules and processes that enable
more efficient performance;
• Creating public-public and public-private networks by
partnering with government agencies, private sector
organizations, international organizations and communities
to synergize and harness the power of networks to be of
greater public good;
• Emphasize good governance, promote transparency, and
encourage more knowledge and opinions sharing about
major policies;
• Actualizing the determination “Wisdom of the Land” which
means Mahidol University is an intellectual sanctuary that
offers ideas and guidance to help steer Thai society;
• Encouraging support from the alumni to promote the
university at the national and international levels; and
• Optimizing the government’s budgetary support and
invigorating fundraising efforts.
26

of 30 students per course to
allow instructors to better
facilitate PBL in the classes.
The use of PBL is even more
pronounced in the series of
courses called Consulting
Practice, in which classes
are limited to 24 students,
and each course has been
specifically tailored towards
the hands-on application
of knowledge for effective
problem solving. This enhances
understanding and offers a
richness of experience that
cannot be found in lecturebased
programs with large
class sizes.
The philosophy of CMMU reflects the vision of H.R.H. Prince
Contemplative Education Center
www.ce.mahidol.ac.th
While Mahidol
University is flourishing
in our academic
excellence through
contemporary education,
networks of spiritually
minded individuals have
been forming communities
of practice with education
as the centerpiece of their
movement. Believing that
learning process is the key
to human development
and knowledge alone
cannot comprehensively
tackle social problems, a
new way of learning called
contemplative education
which promotes balanced
self-development and
mindfulness leading to
inner wisdom may offer an
alternative way of learning
for future leaders of the
society.
A vibrant network of
enthusiasts from a variety of
disciplines led by Mahidol
staff formed a plan to create
a center that would promote
the contemplative and
transformative approach at
every level of education in
Thai society. This idea was
formalized by the creation
of Contemplative Education
Center at Mahidol University
in 2006.
Recognizing the importance
of education for inner
development, the goal
of this establishment was
determined to inspire schools
to integrate contemplative,
transformative, and
innovative approaches into
their curriculum across the
nation. Additionally, in order
to prevent isolation from the
benefits of contemporary
and collegial influences,
the Center’s mandate
includes advocating and
promoting networking in the
fields of contemplative and
transformative education
beyond Thailand into the
region and internationally.
And not only is the Center
focused on learning and
networking, but there is also
a focus on collaborating
with civic society to give
communities skills to transform
and grow across social,
cultural, and personal
boundaries.
82
The vision of the Center is
to provide students with the
highest academic foundation
for becoming a skilled
practitioner of contemplative
and transformative
arts. Learning at the
Contemplative Education
Center is signified by the
mindfulness and strength of
character that allows one to
apply 21st century life-long
learning skills in the healing
of the global ills that afflict
humanity. The Center also
intends to be recognized as
a worthy partner in which
to collaborate on national,
regional, or international
scaled projects or
educational missions.
Main current activities of the center include providing various
types of training ranging from Master of Arts Program in
Contemplative Education to create leaders in this field, short
training courses, networking to strengthen the movement
and active public communication for increasing awareness
and adoption of this new form of learning in the society.
advice on issues such as
writing a thesis or a paper for
publication. The Faculty also
recognizes the importance
of student training and
development and provides
a mechanism by which
student council members can
propose ideas for student
development projects that
require financial support.
In addition, the Faculty
conducts an annual survey
of the employment status of
Mahidol University graduates,
along with an assessment
of their employers’ level of
satisfaction. Information from
these studies is provided to
all degree programs, and is
Faculty of Social Sciences
and Humanities
www.sh.mahidol.ac.th
The Faculty of Social
Sciences and Humanities
was established
in 1969, following the
acknowledgment that, in
addition to an emphasis
on science and medical
science, the training of health
personnel also required a
focus on social sciences,
humanities and education.
The Faculty subsequently
began operation in
November 1971 with the
following objectives:
• To provide instruction to all undergraduate students at
Mahidol University in the areas related to social sciences,
humanities, and education.
• To offer degree programs in social sciences, humanities,
and education.
• To carry out research in social sciences, humanities, and
education innovation.
• To provide research and activities relevant to health and
population problems.
96
The Faculty offers a range of graduate programs, and one
undergraduate program. It also provides two International
Masters programs in Educational Management and Health
Social Sciences, plus an international Doctorate in Buddhist
Studies.
The Faculty’s research policy is to develop and apply the
body of knowledge in social sciences, humanities, and
education for the benefit of Thailand and the world’s social
development. To this end, the Faculty produces the Quality
of Life and Law Journal, the Interdisciplinary Studies Journal
and the Thai International Journal for Buddhist Studies. In
addition, each year the Faculty conducts numerous research
projects, the majority of which are funded by the Royal Thai
Government or foreign donors.
The Faculty is a keen advocate of the internationalization
of higher education. As a result, it regularly organizes or
participates in international conferences, seminars, and
training courses. It has also developed strong collaborative
relationships with a wide-range of institutions and networks,
including Oxford University in the UK, the United Nations, the
Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, the Tourism Authority of
Thailand and the World Health Organization.
Faculty of Veterinary Science
www.vs.mahidol.ac.th
In October 1997, following the
8 th national educational
Development Plan, Mahidol
University launched a new
Faculty of Veterinary Science.
However, the Faculty has
a long history, dating
back to 1942, when it was
a department within the
Faculty of Medical Science
at the University of Medical
Sciences. Since then, the
Royal Thai Government has
enacted policies to promote
investment in livestock
production for export and
domestic consumption.
One of the major national
challenges in this area is
the need to increase both
the quantity and quality of
animal products in order to
make Thailand as a center
of Excellence in Health
Services and “The Kitchen
of the World”. By employing
modern technology to
meet the academic needs
of veterinary students, the
Faculty is able to address this
challenge, and produce new
generation of veterinarians
who are capable of
interweaving the disciplines
of veterinary science and
medical science to attain the
optimal health for human,
animals and the environment
under the concept of “One
Medicine to One Health”.
The Faculty began its first classes in 1999, providing state-ofthe-art
classrooms and facilities in order to provide students
with the necessary skills to excel in various areas of veterinary
medicine, such as zoonotic diseases, veterinary public
health, chemical residue analysis, laboratory animal science
and animal nutrition. The Faculty currently offers a six-year
curriculum for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
Program for Thai students.
98
The Faculty has numerous supporting laboratories which
conduct various research activities in the following areas:
• Emerging Diseases -Avian Influenza (AI) i.e. H5N1
• Zoonosis -T. gondii, Hepatitis, Japanese Encephalitis,
Streptococcus suis
• Food Hygiene -Salmonella spp. and E. coli
• Ruminant -Reproduction, Endocrinology, Nutrition, Meat
and Milk Quality
• Swine -Reproduction, Freezing Semen, Medicine
• Fish (besides fish diseases) -Herbal treatment for Parasites,
Herbals for Anesthesia
• Environmental Toxicology -Cadmium and Lead
Contamination
• Cancer Research -Mammary Gland Tumor in Dogs
• Wildlife Research -FIP and FelV in Tigers; T.gondii in Tigers;
Diseases in Elephants
To encourage collaboration
in education, research,
and technical services,
the Faculty of Veterinary
Science has also created
partnerships with universities
and organizations throughout
Thailand and overseas.
These include the Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht
University in The Netherlands;
Institute for Zoo and Wildlife
Research in Germany; the
Center for Global Field Study,
University of Washington in
USA; the National Institute
of Animal Health (NIAH),
Food Research in Japan;
Research Center for Zoonosis
Control, Hokkaido University in
Japan; and Obihiro University
of Agriculture and Veterinary
Medicine in Japan.
The Faculty is also the
Southeast Asian regional
coordinator for universities
under the global, One Health
Initiative. The USAID funded
Initiative is a multi-disciplinary
and collaborative approach
to healthcare in response to
zoonotics, [human infectious
diseases that are transmitted
from animal hosts, such as
West Nile Virus and Influenza
A virus subtype H5NI (Avian
Influenza)].
Institute for Human Rights
and Peace Studies
www.humanrights-mu.org
The institute for Human
Rights and Peace
Studies (formerly Center
for Human Rights Studies
and Social Development)
at Mahidol University was
established in 1998. It serves
as an academic institution
specialized in human
rights, with a track record
in providing graduate
education as well as training
programs to students, human
rights workers, human rights
defenders, members of civil
society organizations and
government officials.
The Institute aims to develop
the ways and means by
which human rights are
transformed into social
and political realities at the
community, national and
international levels. It does so
primarily through educating
human rights practitioners,
but also through conferences
for and outreach programs to
community and international
organizations, and by
conducting cutting edge
research on issues of crucial
importance to human rights.
100
The vision of the Institute is to be a leading international center for learning and research in
Human Rights, and its relationship to peace and development, with a focus on Asia. The
mission of the Institute, by which it will achieve this vision, is threefold:
• To build human rights
and peace culture through
education and academic
outreach programs
• To strengthen research
which contributes to a
greater understanding and
realization of human rights,
peace and just development
• To serve as a regional
center and be a catalyst for
academic excellence and
knowledge-based advocacy
in human rights
Institute for Innovative Learning
www.il.mahidol.ac.th
The Institute for Innovative
Learning was established
in 2002 as a response
to constraints to learning/
teaching at all levels of the
national education system.
In traditional Thai education
practices, the students are
typically fed information
by their teachers. As such,
very little is demanded of
the students in terms of selfactualization.
Thus, learning/
teaching is rarely geared
toward student reflection.
Although most teachers with
a degree in education were
introduced to the theoretical
aspects of good pedagogy
during their studies, they
were hardly exposed to any
form of interactive, studentcentered
pedagogy. A
student-centered approach
to teaching requires
mastering both course
contents and pedagogy
techniques. This is often a rare
combination.
The Thai government has
recognized the problem and
has attempted to introduce
incremental changes to
teaching at all levels, with
limited success. Both Mahidol
University and the Institute
of Innovative Learning
recognize that the limitations
of teachers are often due
to a lack of hands-on or
minds-on experience during
their training. Studying at
the Institute, students and
prospective teachers are
able to master and gain
valuable experience of these
student-centered pedagogy
techniques.
102
In response to the implementation of the National Education
Act of 1999, the Institute aims to:
• Establish an international
postgraduate science and
technology program to train
future teachers. This will place
an emphasis on innovation
and communicative skills.
Products and outputs from
student’s research thesis will
be used in further learning/
teaching in the classroom,
laboratory and field study.
• Provide in-service training
on new and effective
learning theories to Mahidol
University and other
academic institutes and
supporting staff. With the aim
of producing well-rounded
graduates who are able to
acquire and disseminate new
knowledge effectively for life.
• Demonstrate the merits
of student-centered active
learning to both Mahidol
University and other
academic institutes with the
help of modern tools and
internet-based information.
Student assessments are
conducted in such a way
that assists in their professional
development.
• Disseminate educational
research findings from
Mahidol University and
elsewhere via an institutional
website (http://www.
il.mahidol.ac.th/eng/index.
php/e-media.html)
• Create and adapt
multimedia teaching/learning
tools for university and school
use.
Institute of Nutrition
www.inmu.mahidol.ac.th
The Institute of Nutrition,
Mahidol University (INMU)
was established in 1977
as a national planning and
implementation body of the
Thai government with the
mission of strengthening the
National Food and Nutrition
Plan. Mahidol University
was selected due to its
commitment to health and
medical sciences, advanced
facilities, and its expertise in
food and nutrition. Since its
establishment, the Institute
has fulfilled its mission by
conducting research at
both the community and
laboratory levels by providing
national and international
training and education,
and by providing technical
services in food and nutrition
development.
The Institute believes that
food and nutrition are the
foundations of life that define
and affect the health and
potential of all people and
countries. Towards these
ends, the Institute strives:
• To secure and promote better nutrition for all in terms
of quality and safety, including the prevention of harmful
effects on the food and nutrition system;
• To promote and protect public benefits generated from
advances in technological research and development in
the area of food and nutrition;
• To strategically create interdisciplinary research, provide
education and training, and furnish technical services,
with priority being given to the systematic development of
Thai foods; the strategic dissemination of food and nutrition
information to related organizations and to the public; as
well as preventing and solving malnutrition systematically,
particularly those forms that are linked to chronic diseases;
and,
• To serve as a quality resource center with a dynamic
information system on food, nutrition and allied areas.
Mahidol University
International College
www.muic.mahidol.ac.th
Initially established in 1986 as the International Students Degree Program, the College was
Thailand’s first international bachelor degree program at a public university. Ten years later,
the program became Mahidol University International College (MUIC), giving it the full
weight and status of a faculty. Over the years MUIC has evolved into the pre-eminent liberal
arts college within the region. MUIC currently accommodates around 3,000 undergraduate
students who are enrolled in general education and core courses in six academic divisions:
Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Social Science, Humanities and
Languages, Fine and Applied Arts, and, Science. Within these six divisions, 20 majors and 20
minors are provided each trimester with 400 classes, all taught in English.
108
To meet the needs of
students who require
additional English training,
MUIC started the Preparation
Center for Languages and
Mathematics (PC) Program
to prepare the students with
foundation courses in English
and Mathematics. At present,
the PC Program enrolls more
than 1,000 students annually.
Apart from the international
bachelor degree programs
and the foundation program,
MUIC offers 2 postgraduate
programs in MBA (Business
Modeling and Analysis) and
MM (Tourism and Hospitality
Management) at the
Graduate Center, Sathorn
City Tower, Sathorn Road,
with up to 300 graduate
students.
In addition to a low teacher/
student ratio that allows for
small class size and active
participation, thereby
maximizing the teaching/
learning culture and
environment, the college
has been a pioneer in
promoting e-learning and
mobile learning as well as
study abroad program and
internship opportunity. To
emphasize a complimentary
combination between
theory and practice, MUIC
established its own fully
functional 4-star hotel on
Salaya Campus in 1999. The
Salaya Pavilion Hotel and
Training Center is aimed
to provide the students
enrolled in the Tourism and
Hospitality Management and
the Business Administration
Program with exposure to the
running and management
of a live hotel with real life
situations, functions, and
guests.
MUIC operates a vibrant
Study Abroad Program
for both outbound MUIC
students and inbound
international students. It has
signed formal exchange
agreements and informal
associations with a large
number of universities,
institutes and agencies. In
term of student services,
MUIC provides assistance to
both inbound and outbound
exchange students with
choices of the International
Houses near its green and
safe campus.
The College has broadened
its international profile
through the Special Projects
initiative, accommodating
each year over 200 visiting
students who participate
in short-term exchange
program at MUIC. Aiming to
increase pleasure in learning
and widen knowledge of
the participants who would
like to explore new culture
and experience Thailand’s
hospitality, MUIC Special
Projects programs feature
academic classes with
practical sessions, including
workshops, presentations,
seminars, field trips, and
social/cultural activities, on
and off the MU campus.
mobilization at all levels.
The NICFD uses an
interdisciplinary approach,
in which knowledge in
science and technology is
integrated with local wisdom
for optimal child and family
development. Collaboration
with, and support from,
various organizations at
the local, national and
international levels make it
possible for the Institute to
function and to meet the
daunting tasks.
National Laboratory
Animal Center
www.nlac.mahidol.ac.th
In 1971, a study regarding the supply of laboratory animal for research activities within
Thailand by three leading Thai Universities (Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University and
Mahidol University) identified the need for a facility to supply laboratory research animals.
By 1980, with the assistance from WHO/UNDP, the facility based at Mahidol University’s
Salaya campus successfully bred its first research animals. The facility evolved to become the
National Laboratory Animal Center (NLAC) an official designation granted by the National
Committee of Economic and Social Development of Thailand in 1987.
NLAC is the largest
production unit for laboratory
animals in Thailand, providing
400,000 animals per year
for research and academic
purposes. Imprinting Control
Region (ICR) outbred mice
account for 80% of this figure,
whilst Wistar and Sprague-
Dawley rats account for a
further 10%. Inbred/mutant/
knockout mice, guinea pigs,
hamsters, and rabbits make
up just under 5%. In addition,
the Center also supplies
biomaterial products such
as agar plates, and animal
blood (sheep, geese, and
rats), along with husbandry
materials.
The Center is able to meet
any request for gender,
age, size, and number
of listed breeds, while
maintaining health, genetic
and environmental quality
control. In addition, the
Center has expanded its
services to include the
training of animal caretakers,
and provides research and
educational services at its
laboratory animal science,
and a laboratory animal
information center. The
NLAC is also at the forefront
of efforts within Thailand
to establish protocols for
the humane treatment
of laboratory animals
that reflect international
standards. The center
enjoys close collaborative
relationships with various
international institutions
including the establishment
of The Asian Regional Training
Center on Laboratory Animal
Science (ART-CLAS) under
the cooperation of Center
Institute for Experimental
Animals (CIEA) Japan, NLAC
and Thai Association for
Laboratory Animal Science
(TALAS).
Ratchasuda College
www.rs.mahidol.ac.th
Ratchasuda College was established with the gracious support of H.R.H. Princess Maha
Chakri Sirindhorn, daughter of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The Princess
has always taken a deep rooted interest and concern in improving the welfare of
persons with disabilities, especially for the very young. The Princess’s initiatives and efforts
are also invested in expanding educational services for persons with disabilities beyond the
secondary school level. In the mid-1990s, the Princess was a key advocate and catalyst for
the development of programs, which provided greater opportunities for education and
training.
114
In accordance with
H.R.H. Princess Sirindhorn’s
conviction that the persons
with disabilities, given the
proper training, can lead
productive lives that are not
only personally rewarding,
but also contribute to
society, she has graciously
consented to give her
name to Ratchasuda
College of Higher Education
and Research Center for
persons with disabilities under
Mahidol University.
The establishment of
Ratchasuda College was a
major step toward meeting
the goals and ensuring the
basic rights of persons with
disabilities promulgated
by Article 26 of the United
Nations Declaration of
Human Rights. The College
aims to develop new
knowledge, academic
curricula and research and
ensure the provision of quality
services for the benefit of
persons with disabilities
in Thailand. Moreover,
the College actively
promotes cooperation
with international networks
and the sharing of new
knowledge.
The majority of the
College’s research strives
to develop an academic
foundation for research
and teaching that takes
into consideration the social
challenges that persons with
disabilities face. The College
conducts comprehensive
research and related
activities to achieve full
inclusion, social integration,
employment opportunities
and independent living for
persons with disabilities.
Current research focuses
on deaf studies, Thai sign
language, teaching methods
and resources for the deaf
and blind, rehabilitation
sciences, assistive technology,
Research Institute for
Languages and Cultures of Asia
www.lc.mahidol.ac.th
Previously known as The
Institute of Language
and Culture for Rural
Development, the origins
of the Research Institute for
Languages and Cultures of
Asia (RILCA) date back to
1974 and the establishment
of the Center of Language
and Culture for Southeast
Asian Studies - a graduate
program within Mahidol
University’s Faculty of
Graduate Studies. In 1981,
RILCA was established and
received a status equivalent
to a university faculty.
The Institute believes that
language and culture are
key elements in solving
problems and developing
society. As such, RILCA’s
goals are:
• To study, conduct research, and produce scholars
in various fields of language and culture, including
the conceptual systems which form the basis of Thai
behavior and that of the various ethnic communities
in Thailand
• To develop the working knowledge of language and
culture of individuals from various agencies in order to
enhance career performance
• To provide an educational resource for the public
through a document center on Southeast Asian
languages and cultures
• To promote Southeast Asian culture, as well as that of
India and China
116
For more than 30 years
RILCA has continually
generated academic
research in language,
culture, communication
and development areas
which are beneficial for the
academic community. Many
research projects have been
applied to solving social
problems, formulating policies
for the administration of the
country and some projects
have also been selected
as model projects for use in
neighboring countries.
In addition, one of the
important duties of RILCA
is applying its vast body of
knowledge and research
experience into the teaching
and learning of graduate
programs. RILCA provides five
degree programs including:
Ph.D. in Linguistics, Ph.D. in
Multicultural Studies, MA. in
Linguistics, MA. in Culture
and Development, MA.
in Language and Culture
for Communication and
Development, each of which
produce many high-quality
graduates to serve society.
RILCA aims to promote
cultural values and provide
social awareness through art
and cultural activities and
the support of intellectual
leaders and folk scholars to
restore the cultural identities
of indigenous people. The
past work of RILCA has
been widely accepted for
its value. Members of the
institute’s staff have received
awards at the national and
international level from wellknown
organizations.
Accommodation
and Transportation
124
Accommodation
Affordable housing is widely available both off and on campus, including shared housing,
private flats or condos, and boarding houses. Mahidol University has several dormitories for
local and international staff and students. Some institutions such as the Faculties of Medicine
(Siriraj and Ramathibodi Hospital), Nursing, Mahidol University International College, Institute
for Population and Social Research and the ASEAN Institute for Health Development also
have international houses or dormitories reserved for their students. Affordable off campus
housing is also widely available near all campuses. In general, average monthly rent is about
5-6,000 THB for a 20-30 square meters furnished single room with air conditioning, bathroom
and perhaps a balcony. Many apartments require an advance deposit of one or two
months’ rent and utility bills are extra. Most apartments will add a surcharge to the basic
electricity bill. Avoid places that charge excessive surcharges, as the electricity bill can be
very high if the air conditioning is used often.
125
University Transportation
Shuttle Bus Service
Mahidol University provides a shuttle bus service for staff and students between Salaya,
Phayathai and Bangkok Noi Campuses. The service is free of charge.
Salaya Campus Tram Service
Salaya Campus is serviced with three tram routes (Route 1-Green, Route 2-Blue, and Route
3-Red). These allow staff, students and visitors to commute across the large campus. Trams
are offered free of charge and are available from 6.30A.M. - 8.00P.M. on weekdays. A
reduced service is provided over the weekend and during public holidays.
126
Getting Around Bangkok
Transportation around Bangkok includes taxis, the BTS Skytrain, the MRT Subway, buses, riverferries,
trains and vans. Although road traffic can be heavy at peak times, transportation is
always easy to find and inexpensive.
Taxis are cheap by
international standards, air
conditioned and available
everywhere. Most drivers
use the legally required
meter. Currently, fares start
at 35 baht (just over 1USD)
for the first two kilometers
and increase thereafter.
Passengers must also pay all
fees when using tollways/
expressways. In general, taxis
are by far the quickest and
most convenient form of
transport, especially at night
when there is less traffic.
The BTS Skytrain has two lines
which converge at Siam
Square: 1) The Sukhumvit line
from Bearing to Mo Chit in the
north, and, 2) The Silom line
from the National Stadium to
Wongwian Yai in the south.
This line also connects with
the Express River Ferry at
Saphan Taksin. The Skytrain
is convenient, quick and
comfortable, and the fare
ranges from 15-40 baht
depending on the distance.
Additional extensions to the
service are currently being
constructed. The service runs
from 06.00 - 24.00 hrs.
The MRT Subway runs from
Bangkok’s main railway
station Hua Lamphong,
under two major thorough
fares: Rama 4 Road and
Ratchadapisek Road. The
subway has 18 stations, three
of which connect to the BTS
Skytrain. The service operates
from 05.00-24.00 hrs. Various
stored value and single or
multi-day passes can be
purchased separately for the
BTS and MRT. These are ideal
ways to explore the city.
127
River Ferries provide a
cheap and often quicker
alternative to the busy roads.
They also offer great views
of Bangkok and numerous
photo opportunities. The
Express River Ferry travels
along the Cha Phraya River
from Wat Ratsingkhon in
the south to Pakkred in the
north with numerous stops
at piers on both sides of the
river. The Sathorn (Taksin) Pier
conveniently connects to the
BTS Skytrain at Saphan Taksin.
Smaller ferries also regularly
carry passengers from one
side of the river to the other.
There are several different
types of public buses
travelling to most destinations
within metropolitan Bangkok.
Many are air conditioned
and provide a cheap and
efficient service. A recent
introduction to Bangkok
has been the first Bus Rapid
Transport Route (BRT),
which runs from Sathorn to
Ratchaphruek via Narathiwat
Ratchanakharin and Rama III
roads.
