ALL IN
DICKINSON, ARLENE
To be a successful entrepreneur, you don’t just need to know how to run a business. You need to know
how to run your life when the boundary between work and personal time has essentially been erased. But
while there are countless books on setting up a company, there hasn’t ever been a primer on navigating
the unique emotional and personal demands of entrepreneurship. That’s what All In is all about: how to
thrive in the entrepreneurial lifestyle—and how to avoid its pitfalls.
ALL IN: YOU ARE ONE DECISION AWAY FROM A TOTALLY DIFFERENT LIFE
BATTERSON, MARK
The Gospel costs nothing. You can't earn it or buy it. It can only be received as a free gift compliments of
God's grace. It doesn't cost anything, but it demands everything. It demands that we go 'all in,' a term that
simply means placing all that you have into God's hands. Pushing it all in. And that's where we get stuck--
-spiritual no man's land. We're afraid that if we go all in that we might miss out on what this life has to
offer. It's not true. The only thing you'll miss out on is everything God has to offer. And the good news is
this: if you don't hold out on God, God won't hold out on you.
ALL THE SONGS: THE STORY BEHIND EVERY BEATLES RELEASE
MARGOTIN, PHILIPPE
Every album and every song ever released by the Beatles from "Please Please Me" (U.S. 1963) to "The
Long and Winding Road" (U.S. 1970) is dissected, discussed, and analyzed by two music historians in
this lively and fully illustrated work. This first-of-its-kind book draws upon decades of research, as music
historians Margotin and Guesdon recount the circumstances that led to the composition of every song,
the recording process, and the instruments used. Here, we learn that one of John Lennon's favorite
guitars was a 1958 Rickenbacker 325 Capri, which he bought for 100 in 1960 in Hamburg, Germany. We
also learn that "Love Me Do," recorded in Abbey Road Studios in September 1962, took 18 takes to get
right, even though it was one of the first songs John and Paul ever wrote together. And the authors reveal
that when the Beatles performed "I Want to Hold Your Hand" on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, John's
microphone wasn't turned on, so viewers heard only Paul singing. The hundreds of photographs
throughout the book include rare black-and-white publicity stills, images of Beatles instruments, and
engaging shots of the musicians in-studio.
