Close round about the water's edge grow many plants <strong>and</strong> trees,<br />
Which tremble as they echo to the murmurs of the bees.<br />
The scent of all the lovely blooms that grow about that shore<br />
Will last you if you keep them for a week, or two, or more.<br />
Three k<strong>in</strong>ds of gourds, all dist<strong>in</strong>ct, grow <strong>in</strong> this lake, <strong>and</strong> some<br />
Have fruit as big as waterpots, others big as a drum.<br />
Mustard, green garlic, lilies blue to pick, <strong>and</strong> flowers full-blown,<br />
Jasm<strong>in</strong>e, sweet s<strong>and</strong>al, creepers huge about the trees are grown.
