Elizabeth Saunders is Americas Chairman<br />
of the Strategic Communications segment<br />
at FTI Consulting, and is based in Chicago<br />
and New York.<br />
The Strategic Communications segment<br />
at FTI Consulting is a global, financial<br />
and corporate communications firm with<br />
in-depth expertise in investor relations<br />
(IR), capital markets communications, and<br />
transaction and crisis communications. It<br />
is consistently ranked by Mergermarket as<br />
one of the top M&A firms globally, and was<br />
named the 2012 “Corporate Agency of the<br />
Year” by The Holmes Report.<br />
Ms. Saunders also leads the Americas<br />
Financial Communications practice,<br />
and specializes in building best-practice<br />
financial communications programs across<br />
a wide spectrum of clients. She serves as<br />
senior counsel for business transformation<br />
assignments, and has actively worked on<br />
post-merger communications, CEO transitions<br />
and restructurings for Fortune 500 companies,<br />
including the Coca-Cola acquisition of its<br />
largest North American bottler, CCE; the Dow<br />
Chemical acquisition of Rohm & Haas; the<br />
merger of Knight Capital Group and GETCO;<br />
and various activism contests, defending<br />
companies from Carl Icahn, Janna Partners<br />
and Relational Advisors.<br />
Renowned for her expertise in the area<br />
of corporate governance, Ms. Saunders<br />
has published numerous articles; lectured<br />
throughout the U.S. on shareholder activism<br />
strategies; and been quoted in Board &<br />
Directors Magazine, The New York Times<br />
and The Wall Street Journal. She was also<br />
named to the Crain’s Chicago Business<br />
“40 Under 40” list, and has spoken to the<br />
National Association of Corporate Directors<br />
(NACD) and WomenCorporateDirectors<br />
(WCD).<br />
Prior to this, Ms. Saunders was a cofounder<br />
of Ashton Partners, one of the<br />
top-15 independent IR firms in the U.S. FTI<br />
Consulting acquired Ashton partners in 2001.<br />
Ms. Saunders holds a law degree from<br />
DePaul University with a concentration in<br />
securities law, and a BBA in finance from the<br />
University of Notre Dame. She is a member<br />
of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI)<br />
Senior Roundtable, and is a former NIRI board<br />
member and Emerging Issues subcommittee<br />
chair. Ms. Saunders is also actively involved<br />

Leigh Parrish is a Senior Managing Director<br />
and the Retail & Consumer Sector Leader<br />

of FTI Consulting. She is based in the<br />
Company’s New York office.<br />
As a senior communications consultant<br />
with more than 15 years of experience, she<br />
has a proven track record in directing critical<br />
communications campaigns and devising<br />
multi-stakeholder strategic communications<br />
programs.<br />
Ms. Parrish’s client engagements have<br />
ranged from innovative capital markets<br />
and business media relations programs<br />
to advising clients on communications<br />
issues including corporate positioning,<br />
key message development, management<br />
transitions and terminations, financial<br />
results and related disclosures, and<br />
employee communications. She has<br />
extensive experience in event-driven, crisis<br />
and financial situations that includes initial<br />
public offerings, mergers and acquisitions,<br />
bankruptcy or restructuring, regulatory<br />
probes, litigation, product recalls and other<br />
reputational issues.<br />
Ms. Parrish’s client experience is varied<br />
having worked across industries spanning<br />
retail, consumer, education, real estate,<br />
media, and financial services. Her recent<br />
