GUIDELINES
(pages 75 - 85)
Where the number of candidates is less than 5, the Research
Papers of ALL candidates must be submitted.
Teachers should assist students in selecting topics related to
one of the religions specified for guided research (Pages 76
– 78 of the syllabus). The research paper should include the
following:
Specific title/theme/topic/area of research;
Brief statement outlining the
aim/objective/purpose of the research;
Main features of the religion;
Candidates‟ evaluation of research in relation to
everyday Caribbean life;
References.
The completed work must be marked in accordance with the
mark scheme provided by CXC in the syllabus.
RESIT PROVISIONS
At registration, the previous year‟s registration number
must be indicated.
All candidates with their previous year‟s registration
numbers must be listed on the Record Sheet, if these are
being used.
Candidates who have earned moderated marks equal
to 50% or more of the total SBA marks may elect
not to repeat the SBA component, provided that they
rewrite the examination during the subsequent year.
Candidates whose moderated marks are less than
50% of the maximum SBA marks for the subject,
must repeat SBA requirements at any subsequent
sitting of the examination.
