The SBA online application will then select the
candidates who gained the
highest mark
middle (median) mark
lowest mark
mark that is midway between the highest
mark and the middle mark
mark that is midway between the lowest
mark and the middle mark.
The centre must submit, by the stipulated deadlines, ONLY the
sample that has been selected by the SBA online application.
Where the number of candidates is less than 5, submit the
work of ALL candidates for that proficiency.

RESIT PROVISIONS
SBA will comprise a project covering Sections 2, 3, 6, 7
and 8.
Candidates will be allowed flexibility in the choice of
their project.
Teachers must assess the project in accordance with the
Marking Scheme provided in the syllabus.
The project should be of a size and complexity to enable
the candidate to complete it satisfactorily in
approximately 35 hours spread over a 25-week period.
At registration, the previous year‟s registration number must
be indicated.
All candidates with their previous year‟s registration numbers
must be listed on the Record Sheet, if these are used.
Candidates who have earned moderated marks equal to
50% or more of the total SBA marks may elect not to
repeat the SBA component, provided that they rewrite the
examination during the subsequent year.
Candidates who earned moderated marks less than 50% of
the maximum SBA marks for the subject, must repeat SBA
requirements at any subsequent sitting of the examination.
Candidates may choose to do a new project or improve on
the project done in the previous year.
