Significant accomplishments under CIDG OPLAN “Big Berta”:
1. TURNOVER OF 102.25 GRAMS OF COCAINE
• On January 21, 2011, Joseph Camota y Arapan, 37 years
old, fisherman and native of Eastern Samar voluntarily surrendered to 4ARCIDU
Office of 102.25 grams of Cocaine with a DDB value of Php 1.3 Million placed on
transparent plastic container.
• The surrender of said illegal drugs stemmed from a series of
personal contacts with relatives of Joseph Camota who expressed intention to
surrender the illegal drugs to police authorities. According to the relatives, it was
recovered by Joseph who went on for fishing at the seashore of Eastern Samar.
• Qualitative examination conducted on the submitted
specimen placed on plastic bag measuring four (4) inches in width and 7 ½
inches length with markings 4ARCIDU-JPP gave positive result to the test for the
presence of Cocaine.
2. BUY-BUST OPERATION OF MARIJUANA
IN MALOLOS, BULACAN
• On January 3, 2011, elements of Bulacan CIDT-3RCIDU of
this Group in coordination with PDEA 3 conducted buy-bust operation at Brgy.
Mojon, City of Malolos, Bulacan that resulted in the arrest of Emerico MAMARIL
y Lorenzo, 33 years old, a resident of Brgy. San Agustin, Hagonoy, Bulacan after
receiving Php 1,500.00 marked money from poseur buyer for one (1) brick of
Marijuana leaves.
• Immediately after the arrest of the suspect, three (3) more
bricks of Marijuana leaves were found by the operating team placed inside the
bag tied at the back seat of the suspect’s motorcycle without plate number.
• Cases for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 15, Article II of RA
9165 (Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) were filed against the suspect before the
City Prosecutor’s Office, City of Malolos, Bulacan docketed under NPS No. III-07-
INQ-11A-00003.
