Achievements<br />
Darryl Clout, former President of <strong>Softball</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>, was recognised as a <strong>Softball</strong> <strong>Australia</strong> Life Member and Bob Harrow,<br />
<strong>Australia</strong>n Open Men's Head Coach, Paul Maisey and Peta Edebone (former players) were inducted into the ISF Hall of<br />
Fame.<br />
Two of our umpires were appointed to the final of the 2011 ISF IX Junior Women’s World Championships gold medal<br />
game: Helen Strauss (Qld) was appointed the plate and Yvonne Kahler (Qld) was appointed second base.<br />
Helen is the first <strong>Australia</strong>n umpire to plate umpire a World Championships gold medal match. She is also the first<br />
person to represent her country as a player and an umpire. Congratulations Helen!<br />
