New Branding for National Teams
Softball Australia announces new branding for national teams
In May 2012, the new team logos for our national teams were unveiled. The logos complete a review of the Softball
Australia national team brand after the redesign of the team uniforms with new uniform supplier, Kukri.
The graphic components are unique to each team. They have their own style and energy and represent the values of
each national team with a refinement of existing shapes (Aussie Steelers and Aussie Colts) and the creation of new
logos (Aussie Spirit and Aussie Pride).
The Aussie Spirit leadership group, Stacey Porter (NSW), Jodie Bowering (Qld) and Leigh Godfrey (WA) had a great deal
of input into the design, with the logos representing the five core values of the team Aussie Spirit Vice Captain, Jodie
Bowering says ‘The new logo compliments not only the values and objectives of the team and to be allowed the input
to the new logos gave the girls a sense of ownership to the Aussie Spirit direction moving forward.’
The Aussie Steelers and Aussie Colts maintain the integrity of the previous logos with the images of the kangaroo and
colt, both formidable animals, strong and tough like our World Champion teams
