<strong>Diamond</strong> discs are used to cut and process all kinds of stone: marble, granite,<br />

engineered stone. Available in diameters ranging from 200 to 3,000 mm, with<br />

standard or silent cores, <strong>Dellas</strong> diamond discs assure quality and a perfect<br />

finish.<br />

As every material requires a specific segment, <strong>Dellas</strong> uses a sophisticated<br />

research laboratory to correctly identify the stone to cut and select the most<br />

suitable mix for satisfying customer requirements.<br />

In constant growth, wire is used in quarrying, as well as in slabs cutting with<br />

single- or multi-wire machines, and in squaring and shaping natural stone<br />

(marble and granite).<br />

assuring an improved surface finish, the absence of vibrations, low noise and<br />

increased cutting precision and speed in order to achieve all/round cost/cutting<br />

On request, the company can recommend and produce, depending on<br />

customer requirements, in rubber, plastic or springs assembly, diamond wires,<br />

Calibrating and polishing tools are used to process and finish the surfaces of<br />

natural and engineered stone.<br />

The finishing process is divided into four steps which are performed in the<br />

following order:<br />

• roughing: eliminates the surface imperfections deriving from the<br />

cutting process. Tools used: roughing rollers, roughing plates,<br />

fickerts.<br />

• calibrating: prepares both the surface and shape of the material,<br />

thus respecting the tolerances required by the market.<br />

Tools used: finishing rollers, calibrator plates, satellite wheels.<br />

• smoothing: eliminates roughing and calibrating marks and<br />

prepares the material for subsequent processing, such as<br />

polishing, brushing and satinising.<br />

Tools used: diamond fickerts, resin fickerts, diamond frankfurts,<br />

synthetic frankfurts, resin frankfurts, diamond brushes, steel<br />

brushes, carborundum brushes.<br />

• polishing: gives the material colour and shine.<br />

Tools used: resin fickerts, synthetic frankfurts, resin frankfurts,<br />

polishers.<br />

for each type of machine, material and finish.<br />

The tools for numerical control work centres and milling machines are used<br />

for precision machining, such as curves, holes, specific shapes and details. <strong>Dellas</strong><br />
