MS. GONSALUS: Since you do not have anything
in writing from me I thought I would take probably four or
five minutes to lay out the path that I have followed and
the kind of advice I am going to submit to you. I would
welcome your reactions to it.
By way of self-disclosure I think it is
important to tell you two or three things about what brings
me to this place and who I am and what I do. I am a
parasite on the research system. I am a university
administrator and a lawyer. I am pure overhead. That is
one of the most important things.
In that capacity what kind of work do I do?
The kind of work that I do -- in my university I am known
as the Department of Yucky Problems. I got a promotion
last year and now I am Department of Yucky Problems and
Streamlining.
