Mission<br />

• Determ<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g capacities <strong>of</strong> the region regard<strong>in</strong>g ancient<br />

mosaic heritage <strong>and</strong> its state <strong>of</strong> conservation, as well as<br />

conservation resources, <strong>in</strong> order to allow for efficient<br />

plann<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> implementation <strong>of</strong> conservation <strong>and</strong><br />

educational projects <strong>in</strong> the future.<br />

• Ancient mosaic pavements on archaeological sites open to<br />

public <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> museum collections<br />

• Eight countries <strong>of</strong> Southeast Europe - Albania, Bosnia <strong>and</strong><br />

Herzegov<strong>in</strong>a, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Republic <strong>of</strong><br />

Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia

mosaic pavements<br />

• Present the quantitative <strong>and</strong> qualitative picture <strong>of</strong> the state<br />

<strong>of</strong> conservation <strong>of</strong> ancient mosaic pavements<br />

• To assess the number <strong>of</strong> people work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> mosaic<br />

conservation, their pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualifications, existence <strong>of</strong><br />

academic study programs <strong>and</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g programs <strong>in</strong><br />
