POST Message Description<br />
604 A failure occurred during the testing of a diskette drive.<br />
Action:<br />
1. Verify that the Configuration/Setup Utility program correctly reflects<br />
the type of diskette drive you have installed. (For instructions on<br />
using the Configuration/Setup Utility program, refer to Chapter 5,<br />
“Using the Configuration/Setup Utility <strong>Pro</strong>gram” on page 41.)<br />
2. Run the diagnostic programs. (See “IBM Enhanced Diagnostics” on<br />
page 126 for information about diagnostic programs provided with<br />
your computer.)<br />
3. If the diagnostic programs detect a failure, replace the diskette drive.<br />
If the problem cannot be isolated and corrected, have the computer<br />
serviced.<br />
662 A diskette drive configuration error occurred.<br />
Action:<br />
1. Verify that the Configuration/Setup Utility program correctly reflects<br />
the number of diskette drives you have installed. (For instructions on<br />
using the Configuration/Setup Utility program, refer to Chapter 5,<br />
“Using the Configuration/Setup Utility <strong>Pro</strong>gram” on page 41.)<br />
2. If you installed or removed a diskette drive, you must save the new<br />
configuration in the Configuration/Setup Utility program. Refer to the<br />
Important text box on page 44 for further information and instructions<br />
on saving the configuration. Run the diagnostic programs.<br />
