Day Cricket<br />
To celebrate the 60th<br />
Independence Day, IIP Lahore<br />
arranged a best of three series<br />
of 8 overs each cricket matches<br />
with PTD Lahore. The matches<br />
were played on the night<br />
between 13th & 14th August<br />
2007, under floodlights at<br />
Wahdat Road Cricket Club Ground<br />
Lahore.<br />
Mr. Kashif Iqbal (IIP) and Mr. Hamid<br />
Ali Shah (PTD) were the two<br />
captains. In the matches that<br />
started at 2100 hrs players from<br />
both teams showed great skills and<br />
all the matches were a treat to watch.<br />
During the matches, all players<br />
enjoyed refreshments including<br />
burgers and cold drinks. At the end of<br />
the tournament the players appreciated<br />
the efforts of IIP and PTD Managements<br />
for their support and outstanding<br />
involvement and hoped for the<br />
continuation of the same in future. While<br />
PTD won the toss in all three matches<br />
they could not win the tournament.<br />
Mirza Haris Baig selected to cockpit<br />
Mirza Haris Baig of Medical Solutions was<br />
selected as a member of the elite Cockpit<br />
group. Cockpit is a European People<br />
Excellence Team .The Cockpit program<br />
focuses on motivated young talents. It<br />
gives them direct and unfiltered access<br />
to the development of business concepts.<br />
In this way, a different perspective is<br />
opened for those selected under this<br />
program and increases their learning<br />
curves. The group is offered interesting<br />
work assignments and / or training to<br />
use and upgrade their abilities and skills.<br />
Active contribution of the participants is<br />
rewarded. The talents are identified by<br />
managers. Selection is based on drive<br />
with energy, focus and execute, impact<br />
and energize, and guide with passion.<br />
Cockpit program. Vision and aims<br />
Profitable growth, leadership, and<br />
progress – these are the aims of the<br />
Cockpit program. The program is looking<br />
for talents with high potentials that are<br />
chosen from the team.<br />
In the end, it depends on them to help<br />
shape the future of the company. The<br />
aim of the program is to establish a high<br />
potential pool of elected Cockpit<br />
members, creating a creative network to<br />
make local knowledge global. The<br />
selected members will be assigned the<br />
responsibility of projects related to the<br />
Growth Strategy of the European Sales<br />
& Service Organization.<br />
The Growth Projects will comprise all<br />
phases from conception to the first steps<br />
of realization, helping to improve market<br />
position and open up additional business<br />
opportunities. The Cockpit program is a<br />
highly ranked initiative, the missing link<br />
in the chain of the <strong>Siemens</strong> People<br />
Development Programs. It is an excellent<br />
addition, not a rivalry. Cockpit is in the<br />
line with the P3 concept and the “Fit 4<br />
2010” program.<br />
