AdfinX Real Time 1.0 Library - User's Guide
1. INTRODUCING ADFINX REAL TIME 1.0 LIBRARY
1.1. OVERVIEW
1.1.1. Accessing Real Time Data
The Real Time ActiveX Component Library (AdxRtxLib) provides a number of components allowing
user applications to retrieve and contribute real time data sources. The components that AdxRtxLib
supplies provide dual interfaces.
While it is compatible with most DDE servers, AdfinX Real Time can also be directly interfaced with
real time data sources, such as Reuters Triarch or TIB/Rendezvous.
Four data object components are provided. These are AdxRtList, AdxRtContribute,
AdxRtHistory and AdxRtChain.
1.1.2. Settings File
To fit AdfinX Real Time to your needs, the file m_rtuser.dat holds user data settings related to real
time. This file allows the user to define Real Time drivers, field separators, and the path for the log file.
