Torch Relay Evening Celebration
Old Market Square

See the Olympic Torch light up the city and enjoy live music,
dance and spectacular performances. The two hour show
is a collaboration of local and national talent. Don’t miss our
‘Nottingham’s Got Talent’ moment to shine presented by Dance4
and Lakeside Arts Centre as part of a tremendous Olympic
summer.

Mahogany present a spectacular
on-street procession featuring over
100 local people dressed in carnival
costumes welcoming the spirit of
the Olympic Games into the city.

Big Night Out

As the Olympic focus falls on Nottingham, the
Big Night Out will be an opportunity to celebrate
everything your city has to offer. Bring your family and friends and
have a great time taking advantage of free entertinment, discounts,
deals and special offers across the city.
Nottingham Castle 20
The Castle galleries and Café Bar will be open from 6pm
until 9pm and the grounds will be open until 10pm. Take
advantage of our special FREE entry to see the Living in
Silk exhibition.
Family Fun from 6.30pm
Interactive Architectural Pavilion
The Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects will be creating
an inspirational architectural installation for members of the
public to interact with. Come alone and be a hero as you run
through the triumphant pavillion.
Flash Yoga Event
Shanti Yoga School will start at the Castle
and will then take
to the street to perform Flash yoga events
where you can join them in salute
to the sun sequences.
Bongo Bongo
The Bongo Bongo Crew will
start at the Castle and then will
be hiding in the streets of
Nottingham waiting to make
your little ones laugh!

St Nic’s Prayer and Blessing Space
Come and chill out, relax, chat and explore the creative prayer
space. All ages welcome!
