Section 4: Describe how you have incorporated diversity and inclusiveness of membership into the planning of
your unit’s goals and activities. What criteria were used to accomplish this (such as institutional type, ethnicity, new
professionals, experienced professionals, role—faculty, administrator, advisor; region, etc.)?
My goal for the Advising Business Majors Commission is to create a network of collegial relationships for both faculty and professional advisors. To
provide an arena for business advisors to discuss topics of interest – unite for creative solutions to similar problems. Offer a certificate program sponsored
by the Commission to recognize members for extra effort/education put forward each year toward advising excellence for our students. Reach out to new
and seasoned advisors - business advisors from both large and small – public and private – junior college thru colleges that offer PhD’s – to become
involved not only the Commission – but NACADA.
