25. Margaret Rebecca Teater daughter of Henrich Teater and Beletje Neher was born on 27<br />
Oct 1750 in Rinebeck, Duchess County, New York[18]. She died on 29 Feb 1844.<br />

Even though George P. <strong>Sharpe</strong> was only age 45 at his death, Rebecca, his widow, lived to<br />
an age of 93.<br />
This death date is interpreted by George's Pension record stating the date when the<br />
payments ceased. I located that record at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.<br />
George P. Sharp and Margaret Rebecca Teater were married on 23 Apr 1771[19, 20].They<br />
had the following children:<br />
i. Catharina Sharp was born about 1772.<br />

Petrus G. Sharp was born on 18 May 1775. He died on 18 Jul 1849 in<br />
Kingston, Ulster County, New York?.<br />

Petrus (or, Peter as he was called) G. Sharp is my second great granduncle.<br />
Peter was born about a week after ther Second Continental<br />
Congressconvened in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That was the same week<br />
thatAmerican forces under the command of Col. Ethan Allen took<br />
FortTiconderoga, New York. It was the year that Daniel Boone beganblaxing<br />
the Wilderness Road from Fort Chriswell in the ShenandoahValley of Virginia,<br />
through the Cumberland Gap in Kentucky and to theOhio River where he<br />
established a fort he named Boonesborough. Italso was the year when<br />
Patrick Henry gave his imprassioned speech tothe Virginia House of Burgess<br />
on March 23, 1775, which concluded with"Give me Liberty or give me Death!"<br />
