Assembly of Display Systems
The ldisplay systems are produced on a separate line.
Special handling systems, separate areas for the assembly
of displays and touch-screens as well as sufficient space
for the storage of assembled monitors are especially
important.
Staff from our production building work on a
wide range of systems
The staff of the system manufacturing in Munich assembles
the various computer systems in separate manufacturing
islands. To prevent damage to the installed components,
all workers and their workplaces are electrostatically protected.
Assembly inspection
Burn-in
Systems are prepared for the burn-in
In the burn-in chambers, the industrial computers are operated
at increased temperature under full load in order to
detect any early failures.
Assembly inspection and initial electrical testing
directly at the system manufacture stage
After the assembly of the components, the systems are
subjected to a comprehensive assembly inspection and
an electrical safety test. The devices can also be tested if
required by the customer. All test results are logged carefully.
Final inspection
Shipping
The finished systems are packaged and then secured to the
palette
After a successful final inspection, the devices are individually
packed and secured on pallets before they are loaded
onto a truck and shipped throughout the world.
Customer-specific sample inspection (e.g. extended temperature
range)
Each system is finally tested by a DSM employee in the
final inspection. In addition to the visual final inspection,
the accessories are checked for completeness. The serial
numbers of all key components and the device are also recorded
in the ERP system. In addition to the manufacturing
data, all results of the inspection runs are recorded and
stored.
