System definition
3D-CAD
In close cooperation with the customer, the design specifications
are defined, the appropriate system components
selected and a general device construction chosen. DSM
can make use of a wide range of industrial PC modules in
various formats.
Sophisticated 3D-CAD programs, a comprehensive component
library and experienced design engineers make it
possible for DSM to present the customer with a 3D design
study that already provides an exact impression of the later
product within just a few days.
Cooling concept
Verification and validation
Parallel to the 3D design, a pretest for determining the
temperature behavior of the device can be performed. A
thermal simulation software also allows the ventilation
and the passive cooling of the system to be predicted.
Series manufacturing
Once the prototypes have been tested functionally, the
temperature behavior is measured in the in-house climate
chamber and the limit temperatures tested in accordance
with the defined IEC standards. EMC tests and an electrical
safety test are also performed.
DSM manufactures its products in series in Germany and
so is able to respond fast and flexibly to a wide range of
requirements. The three-stage quality assurance system
ensures the customer satisfaction over the complete production
period.
