Activity Information & Courses 

SEN Group Stay & play (under 5’s) 

A fortnightly group for children with additional needs and their parents. Run by 

Centre staff, Bournemouth Early Years SEN Team and Portage. 

Under One’s Group 

Offering support and activities to families with children under one. 

Fun with Under 5’s 

A stay & play session, family learning through play, arts, craft and more. 

Chit Chats, Family Support Drop–In, includes breakfast (under 5’s) 

For expectant parents and families with children aged 0-5 years. Join us for 

advice, guidance and support or just a friendly chat. 

Language Support Group (supported by the Every Child a Talker program) (under 5’s) 

Advice and support for children experiencing communication difficulties. 

Childminders Support Group (under 5’s) 

A stay and play for childminders with input from childminding network co-ordinator. 

Southbourne Bosom Buddies Breastfeeding Group 

A friendly group to give support and guidance you need in breastfeeding your baby. 

Run by breastfeeding support worker and peer supporters. 

Get The Bug (buggy fitness class) 

Get fit and shape up whilst enjoying the great outdoors. (conditions apply, see reception) 

Messy Play & Stay (under 5’s) 

Have fun exploring new textures and artistic expressions together. 

Post Natal Classes (by invitation from the Community Nursery Nurse) 

Covering safety, sleep, weaning & baby massage. 

Midwife Appointments/Post Natal Clinic 

Make an appointment with your midwife. 

Parenting & Family Learning Courses 

Run throughout the year with crèche ask Children Centre staff for more details. 

Sensory Experiences - Minky Moos 

A unique development enhancing sensory session with music, songs, sounds, 

colours, textured toys, bubbles, effective lights and flashing objects. 

Twins Group (under 5’s) 

A fortnightly group for families of multiple births, access to TAMBA and all their expertise.
