After working in construction
for over 11 years,
Tina Abshire decided to
take her part-time hobby
full-time. “I decided to
hang up the hardhat and
put away the steel toe
boots,” Tina explains. “I
told myself, it’s now or
never.” And with that
said, Closet Karma was
created.
Opening its doors
August 7th, Closet Karma
is continually growing its
inventory and customer
base. They carry women’s
designer resale items
including apparel for all
sizes, shoes, accessories,
and even hand-made jewelry
from local artists. “All
our items are carefully
selected before being
added to our inventory,”
explains Tina. “Trends
come and go, but real
style and quality last forever.”
Closet Karma is the
only resale shop in Lake
Charles exclusively for
women. “Quality is quality
and it follows the product,”
explains Tina.
“Besides, what’s more fun
than walking in a shop
that you just never know

a relaxing, and friendly
environment. “I love putting
outfits together and
accessorizing them,”
explains Tina. Whether it’s
an outfit for church, the

care of the rest!”
“I can’t very well call it
a full time job, I enjoy it
entirely to much,” Tina
explains. “I love interacting
with the customers
and seeing them find that
perfect outfit. I can’t
imagine doing anything
else.”
