CONSOLE UPGRADE
An ‘M2’ upgrade for the Studer Vista
5 console has been announced,
which incorporates the same
precision TFT metering system
introduced on the flagship Vista 9
console. The metering is capable of
displaying signal levels from mono
through to 5.1 channels on each
input, with a configurable lower
area for bus assignments, surround

Solid State Logic had an incredibly busy NAB this year. First up is V4
software for the C100 HDS console, including duplex connectivity with
Reidel RockNet, a new Loop Redundancy mode, and several surround
production additions.
Also for the C100, as
well as the C10, SSL has
launched C-Play – an
embedded spot and
music play-out system
for the C10 and C100;
the Alpha-Link Live-R
console I/O unit that
adds a set of redundant
MADI fibre connections;
and support for Mosart
Medialab’s Newscast
Automation System.
Also new was the SDI-
MADI 4 x16 channel
de-embedder (4 x SDI
to 64ch MADI fibre and
AES).

New MediorNet Speedster
Riedel communications used this year’s NAB to launch MediorNet
Compact – the newest member of of the the MediorNet range. Billed
by Riedel as ‘the cost effective and easy-to-use entry into the Riedel
MediorNet world of integrated media signal
distribution and processing’, its 50Gbit/s
bandwidth provides enough capacity for
bi-directional transport of 12 HD SDI signals,
dozens of MADI streams, or hundreds of audio channels or intercom
ports. I/O includes up to 12 3G/HD/SD-SDI signals, four AES ports, two
MADI interfaces, four analogue audio I/Os (with mic pres), RockNet
images, or the History mode.
