Changing global IP multicast parameters 3<br />

Syntax: [no] max-mcache num<br />

The num variable specifies the maximum number of multicast cache entries for PIM in the default<br />

VRF. If not defined by this command, the maximum value is determined by the system-max<br />

command option pim-hw-mcache or by available system resources.<br />

To define the maximum number of PIM Cache entries for a specified VRF, use the following<br />

command.<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config)# router pim vrf vpn1<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config-pim-router-vrf-vpn1)# max-mcache 999<br />

Syntax: [no] router pim [vrf vrf-name]<br />

Syntax: [no] max-mcache num<br />

The vrf parameter specified with the router pim command allows you to configure the max-mcache<br />

command for a virtual routing instance (VRF) specified by the variable vrf-name.<br />

The num variable specifies the maximum number of multicast cache entries for PIM in the<br />

specified VRF. If not defined by this command, the maximum value is determined by the<br />

system-max command option pim-hw-mcache or by available system resources.<br />

Defining the maximum number of IGMP group addresses<br />

You can use the following run-time command to set the maximum number of IGMP addresses for<br />

the default VRF or for a specified VRF. To define this maximum for the default VRF, enter the<br />

following command.<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config)# ip igmp max-group-address 1000<br />

Syntax: [no] ip igmp max-group-address num<br />

The num variable specifies the maximum number of IGMP group addresses you want to make<br />

available for all VRFs, including the default VRF. If not defined by this command, the maximum<br />

value is determined by available system resources.<br />

To define this maximum for a specified VRF, enter the following commands.<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config)# vrf vpn1<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config-vrf-vpn1)# address-family ipv4<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>(config-vrf-vpn1-ipv4)# ip igmp max-group-address 1000<br />

Syntax: [no] vrf vrf-name<br />

Syntax: [no] address-family ipv4<br />

Syntax: [no] ip igmp max-group-address num<br />

The vrf parameter specifies the virtual routing instance (VRF) specified by the variable vrf-name.<br />

The num parameter specifies the number of IGMP group addresses that you want to make<br />

available for the specified VRF. If not defined by this command, the maximum value is determined<br />
