Displaying PIM6 SM snooping information<br />

To display PIM6 SM snooping information, enter the show ipv6 multicast pimsm-snooping<br />

command.<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>#show ipv6 multicast pimsm-snooping<br />

vlan 25, has 2 caches.<br />

1 (0:11 1:3) has 2 pim join ports out of 2 OIF<br />

1/1/2 (age=0), 2/1/3 (age=0),<br />

1/1/2 has 1 src: 15::11(0),<br />

2/1/3 has 1 src: 15::11(0),<br />

2 (0:16 1:3) has 2 pim join ports out of 2 OIF<br />

2/1/3 (age=0), 1/1/2 (age=0),<br />

1/1/2 has 1 src: 15::16(0),<br />

This output shows the number of PIM join OIF out of the total OIF. The join or prune messages are<br />

source-specific. In this case, If the mcache is in (* G), the display function will also print the traffic<br />

source information.<br />

Displaying PIM6 SM snooping for a VLAN<br />

You can display PIM6 SM snooping information for all groups by entering the following command at<br />

any level of the CLI on a Layer 2 Switch.<br />

<strong>Brocade</strong>#show ipv6 multicast pimsm-snooping vlan 25<br />

vlan 25, has 2 caches.<br />

1 (0:11 1:3) has 2 pim join ports out of 2 OIF<br />

1/1/2 (age=30), 2/1/3 (age=30),<br />

1/1/2 has 1 src: 15::11(30),<br />

2/1/3 has 1 src: 15::11(30),<br />

2 (0:16 1:3) has 2 pim join ports out of 2 OIF<br />

2/1/3 (age=90), 1/1/2 (age=10),<br />

1/1/2 has 1 src: 15::16(10),<br />

Syntax: show ipv6 mulitcast pimsm-snooping vlan vlan-id<br />

Enter the ID of the VLAN for the vlan vlan-id parameter.<br />

The following table describes the information displayed by the show ipv6 multicast<br />

pimsm-snooping command.<br />

Description<br />

The port-based VLAN to which the information listed below apply and the number of<br />

members in the VLAN.<br />

The PIM6 SM routers that are attached to the Layer 2 Switch ports.<br />

The value following “expires” indicates how many seconds the Layer 2 Switch will wait for a<br />

hello message from the neighbor before determining that the neighbor is no longer present<br />

and removing the neighbor from the list.<br />
