Because <strong>of</strong> ongoing legal and technical changes in the field <strong>of</strong> stormwater management, revisions<br />

to this manual will be required from time to time. Such revisions will take place on an ongoing,<br />

as needed basis and will be posted on the FCDMC’s Web page (www.fcd.maricopa.gov). A<br />

separate document available on the FCDMC’s Web page will summarize revisions made after<br />

the release <strong>of</strong> this fourth edition.<br />

Revisions<br />

Because <strong>of</strong> ongoing technical and administrative changes in the field <strong>of</strong> stormwater management,<br />

revisions to this manual will be required from time to time. Such revisions will take place on<br />

an ongoing, as needed, basis and will be posted on the FCDMC’s Web page (www.fcd.maricopa.gov).<br />

The dates <strong>of</strong> revision and an overview <strong>of</strong> changes made are listed below.<br />

1st Edition September 1, 1990<br />

2nd Edition June 1, 1992<br />

3rd Edition January 1, 1995<br />

4th Edition August 15, 2013<br />

Overview <strong>of</strong> Changes Made in the Second Edition<br />

Title - The title <strong>of</strong> the document has changed. The hydrology and hydraulics manuals are now<br />

the <strong>Drainage</strong> <strong>Design</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> for Maricopa County, Volumes I and II, respectively.<br />

Adoption - A copy <strong>of</strong> the Agenda Form, signed by the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors on April 15, 1991, is<br />

included. This form indicates formal adoption <strong>of</strong> the manual, requiring its use by jurisdictions that<br />

cost-share with the <strong>District</strong> in flood control projects, by contractors working for the <strong>District</strong>, and by<br />

all parties submitting drainage reports and studies to the <strong>District</strong> for review and approval.<br />
