General Principle of Admission Policy<br />

Applicants to SAE Institute are selected on the basis of their interview performance and/or academic performance in Year 12 including the<br />

Detail of Folio and Audition Preparation<br />

Folio requirements (if applicable) The folio should contain sufficient items that give the best indication of the standard and potential of the<br />

applicant’s work. Applicants are advised to undertake the following subjects/studies in the development of the folio:<br />

Audio: sound recordings and productions, Theatre production, A/V, media studies, music studies and/or performance or equivalent;<br />

Film: Audio and video production, Visual Communications, Film making, Theatre production, A/V; Media studies; Drama or equivalent;<br />

Applicants should present a folio which best demonstrates skills in the areas of intended specialisation and other creative art forms.<br />

Detail of interview preparation/requirements<br />

Applicants who are required to attend an interview will be required to demonstrate a range of attributes, e.g. personal motivation, relevant<br />

experience or previous study, and an understanding of the opportunities upon completion of the course.<br />

The School sets eligibility based on ATAR and successful completion of Units 3 and 4 in English (any) and two of science (any). For applicants that<br />

fall into a course middle-band, selection officers will pay particular attention to performance in prerequisite studies and relevant higher education<br />

studies.<br />

Applicants for all courses will be required to undertake an admission interview. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to and<br />
