Some diploma/advanced diploma courses will require the completion of pathway courses first, such as a certificate III or IV in the same course area. The eligibility requirement for most Box Hill Institute degree courses is a study score of at least 20 in VCE English (any) Units 3 and 4. In addition some degree courses also require studies in VCE Units 3 and 4 Mathematics, Chemistry or Art. Please see specific course entries below for details. Box Hill Institute encourages all applicants who do not satisfy course entry requirements to undertake some TAFE pathway or preparatory studies. Detail of Folio and Audition Preparation Some TAFE and degree level courses do require applicants to meet folio, audition or interview requirements. • Most music/performance-related courses will require an audition and interview (e.g. Dance, Music Performance, Music Audio Production, Music Composition) • Most arts-related courses will require an interview and folio submission as part of the application requirement. (e.g. Design, Fashion, Graphic Design, Interior Decoration & Design, Professional Writing & Editing, Screen & Media).
