Coraline<br />

Day 1 – Normal World<br />

The game begins with Coraline walking into the kitchen of her family's new home. It is a rainy day <strong>and</strong> Coraline is<br />

bored. She asks her Mother if there is anything to do to get rid of her boredom. Her Mother tells her that if she is<br />

bored, she could start moving boxes.<br />

Task 1 – Moving Boxes <strong>and</strong> Climbing<br />

A tutorial will display giving the player directions on how to move the cabinet. After the tutorial, move to the cabinet<br />

<strong>and</strong> press the Interact button to grab the cabinet. Now move the cabinet forward or backward the same way you'd<br />

move Coraline. This will start the next scene about climbing on objects. Once the scene completes, st<strong>and</strong> in front<br />

of the same cabinet <strong>and</strong> press the button shown on screen to climb onto the cabinet. This starts the next scene,<br />

pointing you to go find Father.<br />

Task 2 – Finding 7 Blue Objects<br />

Go across the hall into Father’s Study <strong>and</strong> talk with Father. A scene will play showing Coraline talking to Father. He<br />

will give you a task of finding seven blue items throughout the house. The locations for the items are:<br />

Kitchen – The oven mitts are in a cabinet to the left of the sink. Move up to it <strong>and</strong> open it <strong>by</strong> interacting with<br />

it.<br />

Kitchen – The pot is in the stove. Move up to it <strong>and</strong> open it <strong>by</strong> interacting with it.<br />

Dining Room – The umbrella is in the right corner behind a cabinet. Move the cabinet to get the umbrella.<br />

Living Room – The boots are on a shelf. Climb on the box in front of the shelves to collect them.<br />

Den – The flower vase is sitting on some boxes in the right corner of the room. Climb on the boxes near<br />

the vase to reach it.<br />

Upstairs Hallway – The basketball is sitting on top of a large stack of boxes. Push the cabinet towards the<br />

stack <strong>and</strong> climb on top of it to reach the ball.<br />

Coraline's bedroom – The lamp is on the left side of Coraline's bed.<br />

Once all seven of the objects are collected, return to Father in his Study to receive your next task.<br />

Task 3 – Moving the Newspaper Stacks<br />

Father tells Coraline that if she is still bored, she should<br />

move stacks of newspapers for him. This is much like<br />

moving the cabinets from earlier. Approach the stack <strong>and</strong><br />

interact with it to lift it up. Once Coraline has lifted the<br />

stack, move it over to the boxes behind Father <strong>and</strong> set<br />

them on top of the boxes <strong>by</strong> pressing the Interact button.<br />

Once you move both stacks of newspapers on top of the<br />

boxes, another scene will play.<br />

Task 4 – Finding the Hot Water Tank<br />

Father asks Coraline to find the Hot Water Heater, to make sure that it is on. After the task is given move to the<br />

downstairs hallway <strong>and</strong> move the three stacks of papers from in front of the door. Once the newspaper stacks<br />

have been moved, interact with the switch. The next scene will play <strong>and</strong> the next task is given.<br />

Task 5 – Watering the Plant<br />

Go to the Dining Room <strong>and</strong> collect the watering can that is sitting on the table. A quick scene will play saying the<br />

watering can is empty. Go to the Kitchen <strong>and</strong> fill it with water <strong>by</strong> interacting with the kitchen sink. Move to the<br />

downstairs hallway <strong>and</strong> walk toward the front door. There is a little plant on the left side of the hallway in need of<br />

water! Go over to the plant <strong>and</strong> interact with it. A scene will play showing the plant turning from a sad brown plant,<br />

into a happy green plant.<br />

Now that Coraline has all of her chores done, she is able to go outside <strong>and</strong> meet her new neighbors!<br />

Task 6 – Meeting your neighbors<br />

Following her Father's advice, Coraline decides to meet her neighbor in the attic, Mr. Bobinsky. To get to Mr.<br />

Bobinsky's place, go down the stairs of the front porch, turn right, <strong>and</strong> go up the stairs. When Coraline meets Mr.<br />

Bobinsky, he decides to give Coraline a slingshot that he had found. Mr. Bobinsky wants Coraline to try it out, so<br />

he tells her to shoot the bell near his door. To equip the slingshot, press the corresponding button shown on screen<br />

to bring out the slingshot. With the slingshot equipped, press the button shown on screen to fire it. Aim <strong>by</strong> using the<br />

movement controls. After hitting the doorbell with the slingshot, Mr. Bobinsky informs Coraline that if she ever<br />

needs to talk to him, just shoot the doorbell <strong>and</strong> he'll be there. Coraline mentions that she now has to meet Miss<br />

Spink <strong>and</strong> Miss Forcible down in the basement. Mr. Bobinsky suggests that she takes a basket of apples down<br />

with her as a gift for the ladies.<br />

Task 7 – Collecting some apples<br />

Move back down to the front yard toward the apple tree.<br />

Interact with the basket near the base of the tree.<br />

Coraline explains through the cutscene that she needs to<br />

shoot the apples when they are bright red. The apples<br />

will grow from green, to red, <strong>and</strong> then to purple. Shooting<br />

a red apple adds one to the total that you need. Shooting<br />

an apple when it is purple or green will take away an<br />

apple from your total. This mini-game is about speed <strong>and</strong><br />

accuracy. Once you have collected 10 red apples within<br />

the time limit, Coraline is ready to meet her downstairs<br />

neighbors.<br />

Task 8 – Go Fish<br />

To go to Miss Spink <strong>and</strong> Miss Forcible's Flat, turn to the left from the front door <strong>and</strong> down the stairs. Interact with<br />

the door to enter into the basement. Once in the basement, you can talk with either one to start Go Fish. To win the<br />

game, you have to match more pairs of cards than the ladies do. Pay attention to cards they ask for, this helps<br />

keep track of what they need. There are 13 possible pairs that need to be tallied before anyone is declared the<br />

winner. Once you beat them at Go Fish, a scene plays where Miss Forcible tells you about an old well close <strong>by</strong>.<br />

Task 9 – Finding the Well<br />

After the scene ends, leave Miss Spink <strong>and</strong> Miss Forcible's flat. Walk up the stairs, then walk to the side of the<br />

house. Walk toward the small stone fence near the house's back door. You should see a small walkway going<br />

behind the house. Follow the walkway <strong>and</strong> a scene should appear showing the tennis court with a lock on the gate.<br />

Walk up to the gate <strong>and</strong> interact with it. To unlock the gate, you'll have to open the lock <strong>by</strong> pressing the matching<br />

buttons shown on screen before the timer runs out. Once the gate opens, continue to the left of the tennis court<br />

<strong>and</strong> follow the path. After a short walk, the next scene will play <strong>and</strong> introduce you to Wybie. After the scene you will<br />

be back in the house.<br />

Task 10 – Going to bed<br />

Go upstairs to Coraline’s bedroom <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong> next to the bed. Interact with the bed to go to sleep.<br />

Day 1 – Other World<br />

Task 1 – Following the mouse<br />

The screen will fade <strong>and</strong> a scene will play. After the scene finishes,<br />

you have to follow the mouse until you catch him! The mouse will<br />

first run downstairs, then into the dining room. Walk into the dining<br />

room where the mouse is st<strong>and</strong>ing, <strong>and</strong> he will get on top of the<br />

table. Once you get to him there, he'll jump onto the cabinet <strong>by</strong> the<br />

blue umbrella. After trying to catch him there, he'll run into the<br />

kitchen <strong>and</strong> wait on top of the refrigerator. As soon as<br />

you get to him there, he'll run down the hallway to the living room,<br />

<strong>and</strong> jump on a shelf near the shelves that the blue boots were on.<br />

He will get away once more <strong>and</strong> you'll find him near the wall to the<br />

left of the fireplace. Moving around the couch will start the next<br />

scene. This will take you into the Other World.<br />

Task 2 – Gathering the ingredients<br />

After the scene plays, go into the Kitchen <strong>and</strong> talk to Other Mother. She will give you the task of finding everything<br />

needed to make yummy pancakes. All of the items needed can be found <strong>by</strong> looking for orange triangles near the<br />

item. You have to find all six items before time runs out! The locations for the items you need are as follows:<br />

Kitchen – The mixer is on a shelf to the right of the refrigerator.<br />

Kitchen – The eggs are located in the refrigerator. To open the door to the refrigerator, st<strong>and</strong> in front of it<br />

<strong>and</strong> interact when prompted.<br />

Kitchen – The pan is hanging from a rack above the cutting board. You will have to move the orange box<br />

<strong>and</strong> set it on the ground. Once the box is out of the way, climb up onto the cutting board <strong>and</strong> grab it.<br />

Kitchen – The box of batter is on top of a cabinet to the left of the kitchen door. To reach it, move the<br />

orange box from the cutting board. Set the box down in front of the cabinet <strong>and</strong> climb the box to reach it.<br />

Dining Room – The mixing bowl is on the end of the table furthest away from the entryway of the kitchen.<br />

Dining Room – The plate you need is in the China Cabinet along the wall to the left of the entryway into the<br />

kitchen. To reach it, move the cabinet near the mixing bowl in front of the China Cabinet. Climb the cabinet<br />

to grab the plate.<br />

Task 3 – Stirring the batter<br />

After all the items are collected for making yummy pancakes, go back to Other Mother <strong>and</strong> talk to her. She will tell<br />

you that you have to stir the batter for the pancakes. All you have to do is follow the directions on screen before<br />

time runs out!<br />

Task 4 – Finding Other Father<br />

After making pancake batter, you have to talk with Other Father. Go into Father’s Study <strong>and</strong> a scene will play. After<br />

the scene is over, a mini-game will start. All you have to do is press the button prompt when it meets the orange<br />

bar on the bottom left side of the screen. Press the buttons as they meet the orange bar, but be careful if you miss<br />

a few buttons! The meter in the top right corner of the screen shows how well you are doing. Keep it from emptying<br />

with correct button presses <strong>and</strong> you will complete the game. Once the game is complete, go back into the kitchen<br />

<strong>and</strong> talk to Other Mother.<br />

Task 5 – Hide <strong>and</strong> Seek with Other Wybie<br />

The scene introduces you to Other Wybie <strong>and</strong> will start the Hide <strong>and</strong> Seek game with him. You have to find him in<br />

each of his hiding places before time runs out! The first place he's hiding is in the closet under the stairs, where the<br />

hot water tank is in Normal World. The second hiding place is upstairs in Other Mother <strong>and</strong> Father’s Room, inside<br />

the large cabinet to the left of the door. The final hiding place is in the big cabinet in the Living Room. Once Other<br />

Wybie has been found all three times, the next game will begin.<br />

Task 6 – Scavenger Hunt<br />

A scene will play where Coraline tells Other Wybie they should do a scavenger hunt. There are ten total items to<br />

collect throughout the downstairs area of the house. Get as many as you can before Wybie gets them! The<br />

locations for the items you need are as follows:<br />

Living Room – The small Christmas Tree is near the left side of couch on the floor.<br />

Living Room – The Flamingo Lamp sits on the coffee table, in front of the couch near the fireplace.<br />

Parlor/Den – The small Statue sits on a small table in between a couch <strong>and</strong> a chair on the right side of the<br />

room.<br />

Parlor/Den – The Cactus is near the windows, on the far side of the room, sitting <strong>by</strong> itself on the floor.<br />

Dining Room – The Box of Chocolates is on left side of the table when entering the room from the hallway.<br />

Downstairs Hallway – The Cotton C<strong>and</strong>y Machine is in the closet underneath the stairs.<br />

Kitchen – The Hot Dog is on the kitchen table.<br />

Kitchen – The Chicken Oven Mitts are on the door of the oven.<br />

Other Father's Study – The Sheet Music is on the left side as you walk into the room, near the record<br />

player.<br />

Other Father's Study – The Bongos are on the left side, past the sheet music under the picture of Other<br />

Mother.<br />

Once all of the items have been collected, the hunt ends, <strong>and</strong> the person with the most items collected is the<br />

winner!<br />

Task 7 – Pancake catching<br />

Once the scavenger hunt is completed, a scene with Other Mother plays with instructions on how to catch<br />

pancakes. Move Coraline underneath where the pancakes drop. Catch 15 pancakes before the time runs out! For<br />

each pancake you get one point. Watch out for bugs <strong>and</strong> worms! Each bug or worm you catch, you lose one point.<br />

After catching 15 yummy pancakes, a scene plays. After the scene completes, another one showing Coraline<br />

going to bed plays. Then it's on to Day 2.<br />

Day 2 – Dream<br />

A scene with Wybie plays showing him running off into a<br />

forest. Afterward, a tutorial will play talking about the<br />

firefly jar <strong>and</strong> health meter. After the tutorial is done,<br />

press the button mentioned in the scene to equip the jar<br />

of fireflies. The firefly jar will keep all of the enemies at<br />

bay. Remember to watch the meter in the bottom right<br />

corner of the screen. Walk towards the large cone of<br />

light <strong>and</strong> follow the prompts on screen to refill the jar.<br />

Once you refill your jar, another cone of light will appear,<br />

<strong>and</strong> more Rats will come out of the bushes. Go toward<br />

the next cone of light with your jar of fireflies out, follow<br />

the prompts on screen to get the next cone of light to<br />

appear, <strong>and</strong> refill your jar. Keep doing this <strong>and</strong> you will<br />

find Wybie underneath the last cone of light. Walk to up<br />

to him <strong>and</strong> a scene will start.<br />

Day 2 – Normal World<br />

A scene plays showing Coraline in her bed wondering if the dream she had about Wybie was real. She decides to<br />

go tell her parents about her dream. Once you can move her, walk downstairs <strong>and</strong> a scene with Mother plays. She<br />

scolds you for going to the well <strong>and</strong> forbids you from leaving the house. After this scene completes, the next task<br />

will begin!<br />

Task 1 – Escaping!<br />

To exit the house, you have to get the key from the drawer near the kitchen sink to unlock the back door. Walk<br />

slowly, or else you'll be caught <strong>by</strong> Mother trying to go outside! The meter on the left increases as you move faster.<br />

Go into the kitchen <strong>and</strong> open the drawer to the right of the sink to grab the key. This is done <strong>by</strong> interacting with the<br />

drawer. Now with the key in h<strong>and</strong>, slowly walk to the back door in the kitchen <strong>and</strong> interact with it to escape!<br />

Task 2 – Finding Wybie<br />

Once Coraline escapes the house, a scene with Wybie entering the barn plays. Go over to the barn <strong>and</strong> enter it.<br />

Another scene will play showing Wybie in the rafters, then exiting the barn through a window. Move boxes <strong>and</strong><br />

crates to get over any obstacles to get up into the rafters. Once you've made it up there, you will have to balance<br />

Coraline on a narrow pipe to get over to the window through which Wybie left the barn. Walk forward while making<br />

sure she doesn't lose her balance. To keep Coraline's balance, don't let her lean too far to the left or right. If she<br />

falls, follow the prompt on screen <strong>and</strong> she'll climb back up on the pipe <strong>and</strong> continue on. After completing the<br />

balancing act, walk over to the window <strong>and</strong> exit the barn.<br />

Task 3 – Untangling Bobinsky!<br />

A scene plays showing Wybie heading off toward the tennis court. As soon as Coraline appears on the roof of the<br />

barn, walk off the barn roof <strong>and</strong> a scene will play. The scene shows Mr. Bobinsky tangled in beets! He asks for<br />

your help getting them off. After the scene completes, a new task begins. With your slingshot, shoot all the beets<br />

off of Mr. B before time runs out. After the scene with Bobinsky plays, head toward the tennis court.<br />

Task 4 – Beet Shooting<br />

A scene with Wybie loading beets into a tennis ball shooter<br />

plays, <strong>and</strong> Coraline almost gets hit <strong>by</strong> the first shot! Once the<br />

scene finishes, you have to keep dodging beets! Keep dodging<br />

the beets until time runs out. If you get hit, it will take some<br />

health away on the health meter. If you get hit too many times,<br />

you'll have to start over. Once you complete the task, a scene<br />

will play. After the scene with Wybie, go back to the house <strong>and</strong> a<br />

scene will play showing Coraline crawling through the little door.<br />

At the end of the scene, you'll be in the Other World.<br />

Day 2 – Other World<br />

After you come out of the small door into Other World, a scene of you walking into the dining room will play. Other<br />

Mother will tell you about serving gravy to everyone using the Gravy Train. Once the scene ends, it's your job (<strong>and</strong><br />

task) to make sure the Gravy Train makes it to each of the three plates!<br />

Task 1 – Gravy Train<br />

The train goes in one direction. With the movement stick, you can push forward to speed the train up or pull<br />

backward to slow the train down. There will be three button prompts that appear on screen. When they do, press<br />

the button shown until they disappear, <strong>and</strong> you'll get the gravy goodness to everyone! After the Gravy Train makes<br />

its final pour, Other Mother tells you about Other Mr. Bobinsky's mouse circus <strong>and</strong> that you're invited!<br />

Task 2 – Matching Game<br />

Walk outside <strong>and</strong> up the stairs on the right side of the house to get to Other Mr. Bobinsky's place. Once you step<br />

in, Other Bobinsky will welcome you to the mice circus. The first game you'll play is matching game where you'll<br />

have to match eight mice on a board. Select a door, <strong>and</strong> the mouse will appear. Find the match <strong>and</strong> it stays on<br />

screen. If you don't make a match, then the door closes <strong>and</strong> you'll have to look again! Find all eight matches<br />

before time runs out <strong>and</strong> you'll move on to the next game.<br />

Task 3 – Where's Valdo?<br />

Other Bobinsky will show you a little mouse with a<br />

white hat <strong>and</strong> pin-striped shirt named Valdo. It's your<br />

job to find him while he hides in a crowd of mice.<br />

When you start the game, there are only a few mice.<br />

Each time you find him, it gets a little harder. Be<br />

sure to find him in each crowd of mice before time<br />

runs out! Move the pink box around the mouse you<br />

think is Valdo to move on to the next round. If you<br />

have trouble remembering what he looks like, a<br />

picture of him stays on the top left side of the<br />

screen. Once you've found him enough times, it's on<br />

the the mice b<strong>and</strong> musical!<br />

Task 4 – Musical Mice B<strong>and</strong><br />

Other Bobinsky wants you to conduct the Musical Mice B<strong>and</strong>! All you have to do is press the button prompts when<br />

they meet the orange bars on the bottom left side of the screen. It's similar to playing the piano with Other Father<br />

except the top row deals with the directions, while the bottom row deals with the buttons on the controller. Be<br />

careful not to miss too many notes, or else you'll have to restart from the beginning of the musical! After completing<br />

the musical, it's time to go to bed.<br />

Task 5 – Going to bed<br />

Leave Other Bobinsky's place <strong>and</strong> go back inside the house. Once inside, go up to Coraline's bedroom <strong>and</strong><br />

interact with the bed. This leads into Day 3 – Dream.<br />

Day 3 – Dream<br />

A tutorial will play instructing you how to defeat Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> how to open the locked gates blocking your<br />

path. After the tutorial finishes, move to the box, pick it up, <strong>and</strong> place it on the green circle. This opens the first<br />

gate.<br />

Bring out your jar of fireflies to keep the Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> Rats<br />

away. After walking past the Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> Rats, walk to<br />

the right <strong>and</strong> move the two swirled boxes together against the<br />

wall on the right. Walk over to the left <strong>and</strong> refill the firefly jar. Pick<br />

up the wrapped box near the fireflies <strong>and</strong> carry it over to the<br />

swirled boxes on the right. Once the wrapped box is on top of a<br />

swirled box, climb on top of the swirled box. Pick up the<br />

wrapped box, turn toward the right, <strong>and</strong> set it down on to the<br />

ledge. While st<strong>and</strong>ing on the swirled boxes, face the ledge on<br />

the right <strong>and</strong> climb up. Grab the wrapped box <strong>and</strong> place it on the<br />

green circle. This will open the second gate.<br />

Jump off the ledge <strong>and</strong> bring out the firefly jar. Continue along the path until you pass the second set of Snap<br />

Dragons <strong>and</strong> Rats. Grab the wrapped box <strong>and</strong> place it on top of a swirled box, then move the other swirled box<br />

(the one without the wrapped box on top) next to the wall beside the first swirled box. Climb on top of the ledge<br />

using both sets of boxes. Once on top, walk over to the swirled box on the right side of the gate <strong>and</strong> grab it. Push<br />

<strong>and</strong> pull it into the green circle to open the third <strong>and</strong> final gate. Walk through the gate <strong>and</strong> a scene will play.<br />

Day 3 – Normal World<br />

Coraline will wake up in her bedroom. Walk down the stairs <strong>and</strong> a scene will play. Once Coraline leaves the house,<br />

walk up the stairs to Mr. Bobinsky's place. Another scene will play showing Mr. B asking for your help! He's lost the<br />

combination to his new door lock <strong>and</strong> it's up to you to find it. After the scene plays, walk downstairs <strong>and</strong> head<br />

towards the Barn. When you get near the steps of the front porch, a scene will play showing you that the piece of<br />

paper with Bobinsky's lock combination is on the roof of the barn. Walk into the barn <strong>and</strong> your task begins!<br />

Task 1 – Finding the Lock Combination<br />

Once you step inside, a Rat is ready to strike you! Either kick it or use the slingshot to defeat it. The kick will be<br />

easier to pull off since it'll attack you as soon as you're inside the barn. Just like in Day 2, you'll have to move<br />

boxes <strong>and</strong> crates to get over the obstacles to get up into the rafters again. This time though, you'll have to create<br />

an extra column to get up into the rafters. The easiest way to do this is to make a straight line of two crates (the<br />

ones you can't pick up) <strong>and</strong> a box along the left wall. Pick up two boxes <strong>and</strong> place them on top of the crates. Climb<br />

up onto the box (at the front of the line), pick up the box on top of the middle crate, <strong>and</strong> place it on top of the box<br />

that is on top of the last crate, so it creates a stack of three. Step down <strong>and</strong> grab the last box. Place it on top of the<br />

middle crate, next to the stack of three. Walk up the created crate/box staircase <strong>and</strong> get ready to balance on the<br />

narrow pipe. This time though, you'll have a limited amount of time to walk across the pipe. Keep your balance<br />

while walking forward <strong>and</strong> you'll get to the end before time runs out. Once you complete the balancing act on the<br />

narrow pipe, a Rat will be waiting to attack you. Kick it or run away to the window that leads out to the Barn roof.<br />

Once you get outside, walk over to the scrap of paper <strong>and</strong> the number “3173” appears on the screen. Now that you<br />

have the door code, it's time to open Mr. B's door!<br />

Coraline<br />

Task 2 – Entering the Code<br />

Walk off the roof <strong>and</strong> head back up to Mr. Bobinsky's place. Once you get up the stairs, interact with the door. The<br />

numbers on the door will start moving <strong>and</strong> you'll have to enter each number, from left to right, as they appear. The<br />

number is “3173”. After you get the door open, you <strong>and</strong> Mr. B will go inside to see his amazing acrobatic skills!<br />

Task 3 – Bobinsky the Acrobat<br />

A scene will play with Bobinsky telling you to follow along with his acrobatics. After the scene ends, you'll follow<br />

along with his acrobatics <strong>by</strong> pressing the combinations that appear on the right side of the screen. You'll have a<br />

small amount of time to press these buttons, otherwise Mr. Bobinsky will fall, <strong>and</strong> you'll have to start from the<br />

beginning. After he's shown off his amazing acrobatics, he'll tell you that he's going to teach you how to juggle!<br />

Task 4 – Juggling Beets<br />

A scene will play after his acrobatic performance, setting you up to juggle. All you have to do is follow the prompts<br />

on screen 20 times <strong>and</strong> you'll be a beet juggling star! If you mess up, you'll drop all the beets <strong>and</strong> start from 1.<br />

Once you complete the juggling, go back downstairs <strong>and</strong> into the house. A scene will play showing you going in to<br />

the little door <strong>and</strong> into the Other World.<br />

Day 3 – Other World<br />

A scene with Other Father plays once you come out of the little door. He tells you about a play downstairs in Other<br />

Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible's Flat, <strong>and</strong> that you're invited to see it! Once the scene ends, walk out of the house, down the<br />

stairs of the front porch, <strong>and</strong> to the left. As soon as you reach the stairs leading down to Other Spink <strong>and</strong><br />

Forcible's, go down <strong>and</strong> enter the flat.<br />

Task 1 – Visiting Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible<br />

You'll walk down the center aisle <strong>and</strong> see Miss Spink st<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>by</strong> the stage. Talk to her <strong>and</strong> she'll start the show!<br />

Task 2 – Act I: Musical<br />

The musical here is just like the Musical Mice B<strong>and</strong> game in Other Bobinsky's place. Press the button prompts<br />

when they meet the orange bars on the bottom left side of the screen. The top row deals with the direction, while<br />

the bottom row deals with the buttons on the controller. If you miss too many notes, you'll have to start the show all<br />

over again! Completing the musical will play a scene showing the transformation from normal Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible to<br />

Other Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible. After the scene, talk with Other Forcible (the one in the pink leotard) to start the second<br />

act!<br />

Task 3 – Act II: A Great Catch<br />

Talk with Other Forcible <strong>and</strong> you'll start the second act of the<br />

performance. Other Spink will be swinging back <strong>and</strong> forth at the<br />

top of the screen. Your job is to shoot the cannon filled with<br />

“fire” balls at her as she swings. You'll have to get seven shots<br />

into her h<strong>and</strong>s before time runs out! Aim the cannon in the<br />

direction she is going, then hold <strong>and</strong> fire. This will get you the<br />

seven catches before times runs out. After you finish the act,<br />

the third <strong>and</strong> final act will be ready to begin.<br />

Task 4 – Act III: Set the scene<br />

Talk again with Other Forcible <strong>and</strong> you'll begin the third <strong>and</strong> final act. Other Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible need your help<br />

setting up props for their next showing. All you have to do is drop the prop in the correct place on the stage. After<br />

the beginning scene plays, it's time to set the stage! You'll begin the act with your slingshot out <strong>and</strong> ready to hit the<br />

bullseye to drop the scene prop in its correct place. Each item has a correct location that can be found <strong>by</strong> looking<br />

at the outlines shown on the stage. Shoot the bullseye with the slingshot when the stage prop is directly over the<br />

matching outline. If you drop one in the wrong place, you will start over. After each stage prop is in the proper<br />

place, a scene will play thanking Coraline for her help.<br />

A scene will play with Other Mother <strong>and</strong> Father, talking to Coraline about giving up her normal eyes in favor of<br />

buttons so she can stay in Other World forever. Not liking this idea, she tells them she wants to think about it <strong>and</strong><br />

gets sent up to bed. This takes you into the next dream sequence.<br />

Day 4 – Dream<br />

The dream starts with a scene of Other Wybie trying to help you out. Once the scene finishes, you'll have to open<br />

gates (similar to dream before starting Day 3) <strong>by</strong> placing boxes in the green circles. This time around, not only are<br />

Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> Rats around, but Porcupines are here too!<br />

The first gate is very easy to open. To the left of the gate is the swirl box. Simply interact with it <strong>and</strong> push it over to<br />

the right, on top of the green circle. This will open the first gate.<br />

Take out your firefly jar to protect yourself against the<br />

Rat <strong>and</strong> Snap Dragons along the hallway. When you get<br />

to the end of the hallway, a long arm will come out of<br />

the wall on the left. This arm will hit Coraline as she is<br />

going down the hall <strong>and</strong> the firefly jar does not protect<br />

against it! Run down the hallway when you see the arm<br />

go back into the wall. After dodging the arm, you'll see<br />

the second gate <strong>and</strong> it's Snap Dragon protectors. Walk<br />

over to the one on the right with your firefly jar out <strong>and</strong><br />

interact with the hanging lantern to defeat the Snap<br />

Dragons. After they've been taken care of, walk into the<br />

room on the left <strong>and</strong> you'll see the swirl box <strong>and</strong> green<br />

circle. Do the same thing you did for the first gate <strong>by</strong><br />

moving the swirl box onto the green circle. The second<br />

gate will open up.<br />

Walk down the hallway past the second gate <strong>and</strong> the<br />

room on the right will have fireflies you can use to refill<br />

the jar. Going past the room with the fireflies, there's<br />

more Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> a Porcupine. Have the firefly<br />

jar out to stay protected from the Porcupine, <strong>and</strong> keep<br />

an eye out for more hanging lanterns to defeat the Snap<br />

Dragons with. At the end of the hall, the long arm will<br />

come at Coraline from the right this time. Run down the<br />

hallway as the arm goes back into the wall <strong>and</strong> you'll be<br />

going down the final hall.<br />

The last hallway is just Snap Dragons <strong>and</strong> Porcupines. Walk down the hall with the firefly jar out <strong>and</strong> keep an eye<br />

on the meter. Once you get down the hallway, a scene will play with Coraline getting away from the long arm that<br />

was trying to grab you down the hallway. She will wake up in her bedroom <strong>and</strong> that's the start of Day 4.<br />

Day 4 – Normal World<br />

Coraline awakes from another strange dream, <strong>and</strong> decides to tell her parents about it. She goes downstairs to tell<br />

them about her strange dream, but she is unable to find them. Being fed up, she decides to investigate around the<br />

house, to see if she can locate them.<br />

Task 1 – Going to the Orchard<br />

Walk outside <strong>and</strong> head toward the Tennis Court. Once you get there, a scene will play with Coraline looking for her<br />

parents in the orchard. As she's looking, Wybie comes barreling down the path on his bike <strong>and</strong> runs into Coraline.<br />

She's now in for a bumpy ride!<br />

Task 2 – Bike Ride<br />

Coraline l<strong>and</strong>s on the h<strong>and</strong>le bars of Wybie's bike, <strong>and</strong> together they take a wild ride down the hill towards the well.<br />

During the bike ride, you must maintain balance on the<br />

bike, as well as dodge obstructions along the way to the<br />

well. Press the correct button inputs as they appear on<br />

screen to help Coraline remove a squirrel that jumps<br />

onto her head, swat newspapers away from her face,<br />

<strong>and</strong> jump over a pile of logs!<br />

Once the bike ride is completed, Coraline scolds Wybie<br />

because he ran her over. Wybie then explains that he<br />

simply didn't see her, then asks why she was going to<br />

the well. She explains that she is afraid that her Other<br />

Mother may have done something to her parents.<br />

Wybie tells her that she needs to get some help, “of the<br />

professional kind,” then rides off.<br />

Day 4 – Other World<br />

Feeling sad <strong>and</strong> lonely, Coraline returns home. She enters her parent's room <strong>and</strong> makes pillow versions of her<br />

parents in their bed. She kisses them good night, then cries herself to sleep.<br />

Coraline is awaken later <strong>by</strong> the cat, who wants to show Coraline something. The cat leads her downstairs to the<br />

large mirror at the end of the hallway. The mirror reveals the horrible truth of what happened to her parents: Other<br />

Mother has taken them <strong>and</strong> locked them away somewhere! The mirror fades, <strong>and</strong> Coraline knows what she must<br />

do... she must confront her Other Mother <strong>and</strong> rescue her parents!<br />

Task 1 – 1 st Ghost Eye: Garden<br />

When Coraline arrives into Other World, she confronts her Other Mother <strong>and</strong> tells her that she will rescue her<br />

parents. Coraline proposes a game to her Other Mother: if she can find all of the ghost eyes, <strong>and</strong> her parents,<br />

then everyone gets to go home free. If she is unable to find all the ghost eyes, then she'll stay with her... forever.<br />

Believing that she has the upper h<strong>and</strong>, Other Mother agrees to Coraline's game. Coraline then sets off into the<br />

Garden to find the first ghost eye.<br />

In the Garden, you must find your way through <strong>and</strong> seek out Other Father. Along the way, there are spiders <strong>and</strong><br />

bramble walls that will attempt to stop you on your way. Either shoot the spiders with your trusty slingshot, or give<br />

them a good kicking to defeat them. Avoid the bridge, because it is guarded <strong>by</strong> snap dragons <strong>and</strong> you're unable to<br />

get past them.<br />

Coraline approaches Other Father, who is sitting on a strange looking tractor. She tries to reach out to her Other<br />

Father, but the mantis tractor springs to life <strong>and</strong> attacks her!<br />

You have to defeat the mantis tractor <strong>by</strong> pressing the correct button combinations that appear on screen. Be<br />

careful though, if you happen to press the wrong button, Other Father will catch you.<br />

Once Coraline reaches the bridge, the mantis tractor crashes through the boards. Other Father, freeing one of his<br />

h<strong>and</strong>s from the controlling glove of Other Mother, throws Coraline the 1 st ghost eye that he had been guarding.<br />

With the 1 st ghost eye in h<strong>and</strong>, Coraline decides to look for the 2 nd ghost eye, hidden in the basement.<br />

Task 2 – 2 nd Ghost Eye: Basement<br />

Coraline descends into the basement to find a nightmarish scene in front of her. The room is filled with various<br />

foes, as well as a strange creature on the stage. Coraline can either fight her way through the room, or run past<br />

the rats to get to the stage. Go to the right of the broken steps <strong>and</strong> interact with the box there. Push the box up to<br />

the broken steps <strong>and</strong> climb onto the stage.<br />

As Coraline reaches out to collect the 2 nd ghost eye, she is suddenly lifted away from her goal. The 2 nd ghost eye is<br />

now across the room, <strong>and</strong> Coraline must walk on the tight rope to reach her goal. This is just the same as it was in<br />

the barn, but with one difference: Coraline must dodge Spink <strong>and</strong> Forcible's flying dogs, which will attempt to<br />

knock her off of the tight rope. Keep an eye on the swinging icon <strong>and</strong> red spots on the tight rope. The red spots<br />

show where the flying dogs swoop through <strong>and</strong> try to hit Coraline.<br />

Once you reach the other platform, Coraline will collect the 2 nd ghost eye. After it is in her possession, leave the<br />

basement. All Coraline has to do is find one more...<br />

Task 3 – 3 rd Ghost Eye: Attic<br />

After exiting the basement, make your way up to Mr. Bobinsky's Place. Be wary of the creatures along the way<br />

though! Climb the stairs <strong>and</strong> enter his place.<br />

Mr. Bobinsky is st<strong>and</strong>ing across the room from where Coraline<br />

enters, but before she can get to him, she has to do something<br />

about the cannons. If you charge into the room, the cannons<br />

will shoot at Coraline, <strong>and</strong> you will have to start again. To stop<br />

the cannons from shooting, use the slingshot <strong>and</strong> shoot the<br />

cheese hanging above the cannons to plug them up. Be quick<br />

though, because the cannons will build enough pressure to<br />

shoot the cheese out. Once all six cannons are plugged, move<br />

towards Mr. Bobinsky.<br />

Once Coraline reaches Other Mr. B, she is shocked to find that it was a fake! Rats spill out of Mr. Bobinsky's<br />

clothes, <strong>and</strong> one of the rats is carrying the 3 rd ghost eye. Coraline must chase after the rat, dodging the breaking<br />

floors, <strong>and</strong> obstacles in the way to escape the room.<br />

Task 4 – Cat attack<br />

Coraline is distraught over letting the rat runaway with the 3 rd ghost eye. While feeling sorry for herself, the cat<br />

shows up with a gift for Coraline, the 3 rd ghost eye. It seems that the cat's natural instincts took over <strong>and</strong> he caught<br />

the rat.<br />

With all three of the ghost eyes, Coraline goes into the house <strong>and</strong> confronts her Other Mother. Coraline realizes<br />

where her parents are <strong>and</strong> attacks her Other Mother <strong>by</strong> throwing the cat at her.<br />

To complete this challenge, you must press the buttons that appear on screen. If you mess up, you must start<br />

again.<br />

Task 5 – Collapse!<br />

Other Mother becomes enraged that her eyes were removed <strong>by</strong> the cat <strong>and</strong> destroys the floor, causing Coraline to<br />

fall into the Beldam's web.<br />

Coraline must climb up the webbing, dodging the falling objects <strong>and</strong> avoiding the spiders that are on the web. Look<br />

for the warning arrows; they show the player where the objects are falling.<br />

Climb up the web <strong>and</strong> reach the door to complete this part of the level.<br />

Task 6 – The Final Struggle<br />

Once Coraline reaches the door, the Beldam attempts to enter the doorway. Press the buttons that appear on<br />

screen to stop her from entering the door.<br />
